My doctor just put me on subutex along with percocet. I've been on percocet for yrs for severe and chronic migraines. He told me to take the subutex and if it doesn't work to take a percocet. I usually take 15 mg percocet at a time. I've read some stuff online that worries me. Some people say if you take percs with subutex you'll go into withdrawals. I went through severe withdrawals with fioricet months ago and I don't want to go through that hell again. I took my first subutex about an hour ago and I still have a migraine so I want to take a perc now. Can I do that or will I get sick?

If they are pregnant they do not need to be on suboxone strips and they don't even make a subutex strip. If the person is pregnantes then they only need to be on subutex I know that to beca use I have had 2 children already and was on it and now I am pregnant with my 4th child but 3rd child on subutex

Not if it is just percocet and subutex like I said before it has to be because their tolerance is to low. Now mixing suboxone and percocet then it would moat definitely put them into withdraw. Like I said before I been on subutex for 5 years now I have taken perocet, loratab, oxycotton, just about every opiate you can,think of back when I was abusing my meds and not one time did I go through with drawl from mixing with subutex. Taking other narcotics with subutex just enhances the meds. Believe me I know what I am talkin about.

Thanks for the words of wisdom. What a love hate with all of this. To think, the money spent elsewhere is just crazy. Which is really the worst part of it. If it were free and didn't have to increase tolerance then it would be great! If only lol

EVERY body is different. I would take a little at first and then if you need more later take more until you are feeling ok. Subutex will give you a habit just like any opiate. You shouldn't take it longer than a week but your not just going to feel normal after being off of it. It will take awhile just like anything after being off of it. I don't know if what I've told you helps. God Bless You.

So back to my original question. If I'm on 60 mg of oxycodone a day and I took my last dose 18 hours ago, how much subutex should I take today? Would I be okay with 1 mg or would I need to take 2 mg to kick the pain and feel ok? Also, how long will it last before I need to take more? And how long will I have to take subutex to be able to wean off fully and kick this altogether?

U getting sick could not have been from withdrawal from taking a percocet with the subtex it may have been because your tolerance is to low but not with drawl subutex is not like suboxone it doesn't have the blocker in it the way the suboxone does. Trust me I know I been on the subtex 5 years now

How long on it now..i heard my doc tell a guy it takes up to 3 weeks to stabilise in your system...

I take subtext not suboxone. And it's the pill 8mg. I'm supposed to take a half one in the morning and half at night. I tried going to work like I said with nothing but taking the subtext and I was to weak to work and got sent home because I couldn't hardly work. I had no energy. I'm really upset about it. I paid out of pocket for the subtext and the doctor visit. And I haven't stop getting high because I don't want to lose my job because I'm to weak to work

I have a friend that takes a small piece of sub with 2 perks and finds a medium he likes..so i think its the person. I've been on perk 7.5 x 3 a day for 5 plus yrs. i don't stray as im fearful of what will happen.. I loved my cannabis and the snow storms were fantastic so i pray to stay where i am. Also I take 10 mills of methadone 3x a day and what im reading about it scared me bad...

Please stick with the suboxies...best route for recovery...oh hell yea..i went crazy with that was on subox strips and took a 10 mill of methadone and i locked up was miserable for 10 hrs...nothing fased it i took 30 mills of perks was like an asperin...DONT DO THIS..

The first time I took subs before work, I got great relief at around 12 mg. coming from 5-6 roxi 30s a day. That day I took 12 mg, and a 15 mg before work. I felt like how I'd usually feel, except maybe a cleaner opioid "effect". But no sick feelings, no withdrawal, nada. After that I just stuck to subs. Now it's been 2+ years with full agonist opioids :).

Yes it does, before I met my gf, long before, she used to take subutex (used to be an opiate addict). She said 4-6 hours after dosing she could take her opiates again. Everyone is different.

WOOOW.....You need to just stick with the subutex! The only reason to not take them since you are pregnant is because you are pregnant!! So if you stop, this would harm the baby even worse. As for trying to get on more medication, namely pain medication WHILE PREGNANT??? Really.....this makes me so disgusted to read this. You baby is going to come out addicted and will be in the NICU just to get weined off of narcotics because you cant stop taking them yourself whille your pregnant. Do us all a favor and you baby and just stooop!

I have a email come through my phone and it's another person talking about if subtext and suboxone will put you threw withdrawal. Can't we talk about something else. If you want to get clean your going to do it.

Please go to this site naabt.org. It tells you there that BOTH suboxone and subutex can send you into Pwdrls if you do not wait long enough. Everyone needs to be careful giving out "facts" that are not actual facts. It puts peoples lives in danger. You can die going through wd.
