Hi leah,

Sorry to hear about your allergy to Suboxone. However, I haven't been able to find any specific details on any medications by the name of Subsal. Did your doctor mention anything else about what it's supposed to be used for?

If the Subutex is working well as an alternative option, then in my honest opinion it may be best to stick with what you already know, since different brands can still effect each person differently. So switching medications is somewhat of a gamble in that regard.

You can learn more about this drug on the page for Subutex Details

I hope this helps!

DON'T TAKE IT!!!! It's Zubsolv. And it has the exact same ingredients as Suboxone, just in a smaller dose. If you're allergic to Suboxone then you're allergic to Zubsolv.

The difference between suboxone and subutex is Suboxone has Naloxone, which causes Suboxone to not be abused as easily. Naloxone (ingredient that prevents suboxone mis-use) and Buprenorphine (Suboxone) (ingredient that prevents cravings, stops withdrawal and stops any effects that would be cause by taking other opiates) they work together, so in theory they are supposed to work together get you off of painkillers and other opiates without replacing one addictive drug for another. HOWEVER, when you take Suboxone/Naloxone during withdrawal, it does create euphoria except you are going for -50 to 0, instead of 0 to 50, so on a points scale you body just gained 50 "HIGH points" so essentially feeling normal again is feeling high, and you because addicted to feeling normal. Without Naloxone, you can go from -50 to 50 and higher because there is nothing stopping this painkiller from making you feel high. As far as this comment. Since the only difference in Subutex is "no naloxone" the allergy Must be Naloxone, so switching. Zubsolv would still trigger an allergic reaction since naloxone is still present. However if you take 8MG of SUB then you take 2 MG of NAL, but if you take the Zubsolve equivalent which is 5.7 MG of Buprenorphine, you only take 1.4 MG of Naloxone, because of the way it absorbs better in your body. But you would think the Doc would understand that and keep you on Subutex?

Re: Person who really knows (# 8) Expand Referenced Message

First of all suboxone contains naloxone to keep you from feeling any opiates you may try to use. Secondly, subutex, if used and why most doctors refuse to give it is because they know you can still abuse opiates and feel them. For the guy seeing blood in his stool, that is a clear sign you need to see a doctor and go for a colonoscopy asap. Blood in your stool is a clear sign you may have colon cancer and the faster you catch it the better chance you have for fixing the problem. Lost my mother to colon cancer and blood in your stool is a clear sign you're having colon problems. Next, it also could be hemorrhoids that are causing you to see blood. Anyone 50 yr's of age should be going for a colonoscopy. Suboxone is known to make you constipated and this can make hemorrhoids bleed. Use miralax as it will soften your stool and make it easier to go. For sure you should see a doctor.
