I am taking 1 80mg oxy a day or an average of 10 norco 10/325 a day and am really wanting to quit. I dont have much money and dont like going to treatment centers that treat me like a low life. I am a hard working citizen that is looking for an honest outpatient treatment center that is coast effective. Is this doable. I have taken saboxone before and relapsed when I was in a sevear accident. Is there anyone in OC CA that can help

Have you tried going to q psychiatrist? My dr. Actually gave me an rx for subutex for depression (new studies show it helps with treatment resistant depression) but anyway most psych's deal with addiction problmems and will help!! So I say maybe find one in your area that deals with addiction as well. I got an rx for 30 pills of 8mg which he refills when I run out. Really really helps. And while it's pretty much the same as suboxen, it doesn't contain nolaxen sp? Which he said CAN cause depression making someone WANT to eventually relapse. Just an idea. Good luck!!

You can check to see if a doctor in your area provides Suboxone at their website: Subxone.com

As to not having insurance, Suboxone treatment is very expensive. If he was on a measure dose of the Suboxone, to try to treat his addiction, then it is doubtful his withdrawals will be severe enough to kill him, but after 2 years on it, it will take quite awhile for them to taper off. He will be miserable for a long time!

When I stopped pain management, even just taking Morphine and Oxycodone as prescribed, it took almost 2 months for the withdrawal effects to taper off and for me to start feeling human again.

For assistance with prescriptions, you can try PPARX.org and they may be able to help!

Can any psychiatrist prescribe Suboxene? My wife is currently taking methadone everyday but it is a 32 mile drive one way everyday and it is just too much on us. Please help us. I know that my primary care doctor can prsescribe it as she is an internist and her name appears on the suboxone.com list but I really do not want her to go there so can you please check if the following Psych, Dr Andrew Newton in Mt Carmel, PA, can prescribe it? He has more credentials and degrees than you can count on one hand so I would assume that he could but can you tell me for sure? Thank you so much, John in PA

I've been on pain pills for 25 yrs due to medical issues with my back the last couple of years its really gotten bad i was takin up to 180 mg. of oxicodone a day and my lower back hurts worse so i figured id give this suboxone a try :1 its very expensive the doctor alone for the 1st visit is 500.00 and then the medicine is 750.00 a month. after that the doc is 85 a month and thank God i have medicaid to cover this medicine because i would not be able to do this.I say that but when u figure it up as i did when i would run out of my meds for the month i would go pill hunting and spend up to 500 or more to get what i thought i needed. i would pay 25 for a 30mg roxie when at the 1st of the month i would get 180 30mg roxies for 2 dollars..Addiction is a horrible thing and its something that i will live with the rest of my life it doesen't mean that i'm a terrible person poeple that aren't addicts just can't understand how we feel......I've started suboxene 5 days ago ..the true pain is starting to come back in my spine but i know that i have to deal with it and takin suboxene is the only way to stop the maddness of pain pills i feel that im subsituting one thing for another and thats right. thats why they should have suboxene support groups. so for now i'm kinda alone takin this treatment..I know that excercises help im a very active person as most addicts are!!! I dont know know the long term effects of suboxene i guess there arent any hopefully ill be able to get off of suboxene maybe it the goverments way of control i know somebody is makin a s***load of money somewhere with this drug......my guess is really that in the future suboxene will be just like methadone sold on the streets and people overdosing on it.....but for know it working for me im feelin my real pain and 600mg ipbuprofrin works believe it or not but it does the suboxene just make u feel very high kinda like i really dont like to feel this way so maybe it will be eaiser to get off of because i know in my heart that i cannot do drugs i am a addict with a very bad back if suboxene helps me get off the oxocodone i guess its ok for now just kinda worried about the future....like i said though it is very expensive but if u think about it pill hunting is also so ..im gonna find some more people in my area thatson suboxene and maybe start a support group for suboxene users!!!! Hell what else u gonna do Im 50 yrs old and would like for the rest of my life to have a little sainity in it..........

You need to enter into either suboxine or methadone treatment.I am on methadone.the clinic I go to also does suboxine.most suboxine clinics only provide to about 30 people at a time but methadone is usually about 300 patients at a time.most people like suboxine because you only go in once a month for your refills where methadone you go everyday for your dose and as you earn trust and clean drug tests they give you take homes until u only go once a week.but that would be your options, honestly I don't know any doctor that just prescribes suboxine.
