Suboxone 8mg/2mg And Roxicodone 30's (Page 15)

I am currently taking Roxicodone 30's each day. I have suboxone 8mg/2mg to help get off of these. I know the suboxones are the best pill made to help with the withdrawals but I'm wondering if for the firsrt 3 to 5 days when I'm having trouble sleeping and feeling clammy, if i should take like half of a Roxicodone 30 (which i have done in the past), as it helps me to sleep and takes away the clammy feeling? Any other suggestions that you may have? Thanks to anyone answering this for me.

THERES NO POINT TO DO ANY TYPE OF OPIATE AFTER TAKING SUBOXONE AS IT DOES A SERIOUS NUMBER ON YOUR OPIATE RECEPTORS ( STOPS YOU FROM GETTING ANY EFFECTS) REALLY DONT EVEN BOTHER WITH THE SUBOXONE UNLESS YOU WANT TO QUIT DOING OPIATES BUT DONT BOTHER WITH THE METHADONE PROGRAM AS SUBOXONE IS BETTER CAUSE WITHDRAWLS FROM THE METHADONER R 1000 000% WORSE THAN EVEN H SERIOUSLLY IM SPEAKING FROM EXPIERENCE

I be been taking 6-10 Roxys a day. Just ran out and decided to finally try subs, I only have 2-8mg subs, will it be enough to help me stop?. And the last roxy I took was this morning

Hi Everyone, I was in a work related accident in 1999, destroyed my left knee, back and hips. I was on 80mg of Oxycontin up to 8x a day, Klonopin, hydrocodone, for sleep and break through pain, so I went from that to Methadone n hydrocodone, now I am on 6- 30mg Ms Contins a day. I'm so sick n tired of the roller coaster and having to be careful about who I have my meds around, as my mother 72 is a opiate addict n alcholic , well I got her in rehab and of course she did very well. But then fell off stole my meds n purse. I want off but do not know how to tell my doctor, for around here you even remotely act a little funny they won't even see you any longer. A lot of real hard laws where I live. Anyway and also I had heard that you can't take Suboxone unless you have been off the opiates for at least 4days. Is this true. Because I have tried to stop before and OMG I was so sick, and restless legs really bad, well hell I don't want to do that again. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated from anyone, I'm scared of the pain,withdrawals, and being like my mother. Thanks in advance.

Thanks KC, but how do I ask my doctor to get me off the pills and onto Suboxone, and I was thinking f that were true about the 4days, I would be dead by then..

The doctor wants you in withdrawal first so about 24 hours. I would seriously ask that doctor to ween you off first and if that does not work then try Suboxone. Suboxone is a great drug for people who are mentally into it. It helps deal with half the problem first and then deal with the dependency after. It worked for me but the withdrawals are not horrible but drawn out. Pill withdrawal sucks but can be tolerated for 3 or 4 days better than herion.

You have to find a suboxone Dr. Your pain management Dr can not prescribe you the suboxone

Thanks Marc & KC, Yes I'm so afraid of withdrawal I have heard so many nightmare stories. However I'm just so tired of it all! Ya know, and I'm afraid if I piss my Dr. Off then it will be herion. Idk it all terrifies me. They have to be so touchy anymore. And I can understand where they are coming from with being able to loose their jobs ya know that is their living for their families. But at the same time, I say hell if we all want to kill ourselves then let us....lol....just joking. Thanks again guys!

If it is herion then go with suboxone but very few doctors are able to to prescribe suboxone so you need to find the one that can not assuming the doctor you see can and that just cuts you off totally. You can do it and seem motivated!

you can take sub strips about 12- 16 hours after the last use of pills.You can handle going sick for eight or ten hours knowing you are working towards getting straightened out..You want the stuff to work and it will.You might need three strips a day to start but it is not hard to ween off if you really want to be off the garbage..The drug free "feel good feeling" will be your goal..You probably go sick three times a month minimum chasing your high as it is now..There are plenty of suboxone doctors in south florida.I don't know where you are but the internet will supply you with the right direction and so can find your local emergency room..

stay away from the alcohol for starters till you are off the pills and any other strip..No booze and pharmecuticals..Do the strips and just take a smaller piece after you are stable.I got off a bad addiction with 45 strips.I never went for treatment and i never relapsed.You have to want it..I did get a jug of five milligram valiums with the 45 eight mg strips..The doctor didn't want to give them up but i talked him into it..That was a year ago. I still have half the valium and i used the remaining seven or eight strips for pain meds over the last five months when my hip or back got unbearable.. Not many people are this strong.We all cope differently..Just don't try to bulls*** yourself. You know your limitations. We all usually do.. The opiates are bad news.I'm 56 and well educated in them and they will consume your world if you let them.

Thanks, well I'm trying to stay motivated but hell I'm super scared of the sickness and the pain I'm afraid I'll go through. I have been on opiates since 1999, of some kind or another from oxycontin to methadone now MS Contin, and I'm so scared that I will be in so much pain and of course very sick, and omg I have 4 children I take of after school and my mother and neighbor which mom is 72 my neighbor is 91 and I just don't have time to be down not even for one day, so I'm really hoping I can do this cause I don't want to go through the sickness just to turn around and go back on the pain meds. And then get fed up and have to do it again, does that make sense? I know I sound off the wall but I was just hoping I could find away to talk to my Dr, without him freaking out, and was hoping someone on here could give me some suggestions. Thanks for your help I really do appreciate it.

Well it sounds like suboxone would help you and then ween off that. Search the suboxone website and you can find qualified doctors that can actually prescribe it.

Hey Marc how long were you on the Suboxone? And what kinda awesome stuff were you on? I hope you don't mind me asking. I do not know anyone else that have been in this situation or going through now? I have no one else to talk with about this. And will the Suboxone keep you from sweating? I do not like that part at a!l and I actually started weening myself cuz my prescription is almost out and I don't want to refill it. So I am already starting to do the sweating thing and feel that kinda sick feeling in my stomach. Thanks the real name is Bronda

Suboxone will eliminate all the sweats etc. It just won't give you the euphoric feeling! What part if the country do you live in? Maybe I can help you find a Dr to help you?

Suboxone will relieve all withdrawal symptoms. I was on Suboxone for almost 5 years and I am clean now so it does work. I started hooked on Vicodin when I got my wisdom teeth pulled, worked my way up and could not afford OxyContin anymore so moved to H because it was cheaper, mind you my doctor became a dude from Honduras. The suboxone webpage shows doctors in the areas people live in that can prescribe it. Just goto suboxone.com and click the tab that says getting ready for treatment. Hi KC, very sorry it took so long to get back to you, I live in eastern side of Washington state. And I did look online and only found one that is about 2hr drive from me. But I may just have to drive that far if I can. I'm starting to get really sick,dizzy,etc restless legs super bad last night. O god I don't know if I can do this. Trying to be a grown-up here and suck it up and deal. But damn I don't want to get sick nor do I have the time. Thanks for your help.
