Sore Breasts On Birth Control???

I've been on lomedia 24 fe for 4 months now,I just finished the first week of my white pills in my 4th pill pack. I had my period 10 days ago for one and a half days while I was on the second day of the brown pills. The past couple of days my breasts have been really sore. Is this a normal effect of the birth control? I highly doubt its a pregnancy thing because I take my pills at 11:30 pm every night,I never have missed a pill. Just a wondering if it's normal for me to have sore breasts even though I've been on this pill for a good 3 months and 7 days. Oh and I also have irregular bleeding from time to time. Advice??

But yes, those are listed as possible side effects of oral contraceptives by the FDA and NIH. Other listed side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability and PMS like symptoms.

Since your natural hormone levels can fluctuate, it is normal for some side effects to continue, even after you've been taking them for awhile, but if you're concerned, then please speak to your doctor.

You answered my question greatly:) the sore breasts have slowed down. I was just curious as to whether or not it was normal for the sore breasts to continue after being on the pill. also, is it normal for my period to still be weird? The last one was only for a day and a half or 2 days?

Yes, that can happen and for the same reasons I've already stated, hormonal fluctuations.

However, if you're concerned and want to be sure, then you should speak to your doctor. That's part of their job description. :-)
