o yes you can its a schedule2 for somthing i snorted a 50 had the buzz of a roxy 30 its hurts but you can snort it trust me and do other things with it it is a pure drug just like morphine, oxy it comes in a form that doesnt have acap or anything else yes it can be abused and feels great when you get the buz so i dont know who said you cant

I'm currently going to a pain management clinic because of a serious MVA. My right femur bone was replaced with a metal rod causing me severe pain especially during cold or wet weather. My doctor has me on a strict regimen of 75mgs four times daily. I do ocassionaly break down my meds and snort them if the pain becomes too intense and I need quick relief. As long as your prescription bottle does not specifically say to take the medicine orally it is perfectly legal to break them down and snort them. As to the posters who say that Nucynta burns when snorted they are absolutely right but the burn lasts less than a minute. My recommendation, snort a very small line to get the burn out of the way and then when you snort the remainder you will not feel the burning sensation. Hope this post was informative! If there are any typos I they"re probably due to Nycunta I just snorted.

OK, so back to the original question. so if a person DID want to snort Nucynta, as this person states their own child had done other things in the past and they had wanted to look out for such, how would a person do so?

I don't think it has any euphoric effects, and it needs to be metabolized by your liver to work so you cannot snort or plug them. If you're looking for it to work faster the best you can do is crush it up before ingesting on an empty stomach. If you're looking to get high and can't get anything else, these will keep PAWS at bay, but its probably time to move on with your life.

I researched nucynta because I have RA and it was recently added for pain control. The drug info basically says that there isn't a lot of info on overdose or abuse because it's a relatively new drug. However, it is a schedule 2 narcotic w/overuse and abuse risks similar to OxyContin and dilaudid. So, theroretically, yes it is possible to crush it and snort it, inject it, or chew it. It is a very strong narcotic, so crushing and snorting, etc are very dangerous!

I have been on high doses of all pain meds for a bad car crash where I broke my back and lost feeling in one leg and seem to have enough pain in the other for them both. Anyway I went off all the crap when they changed the OC to OP a month ago I fell down in the snow and was given Nucynta there is an extended release and an imitate in a moment of blow your brains out pain I crushed 75 ml and snorted it like I had done the OC at times when the pain was bad. Anyway my nose bled like crazy and I felt nothing. If taken as prescribed it is amazing you feel not pain but no high. This drug is not to be abused it has a serotonin–norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI) effects—in its dual mechanism of action, tapentadol provides analgesia comparable to other opioid analgesics such as hydrocodone, oxycodone, and pethidine (meperidine) but with a more tolerable side effect profile. While its analgesic actions have been compared to tramadol and oxycodone, its general potency is somewhere between tramadol and morphine in effectiveness. So the Tramadol may be abused but would you snort Prozac or another anti-depressant? NOT if you want to remain sane and keep your brain intact. This is why the side effects if taken too much are crazy...wish I would have asked this question before I tried to snort it,.....STUPID ME DONT DO IT!

Wow...I keep reading it is alright to judge, judging is what makes us human. Give me a break. Guarantee these people have their special little spot in their church where they can be seen within the community at church, while sitting there judges each and every person that crosses their path. But that's what makes us human, ha ha. No one knows anyone on here. Yes, it is possible to make accurate assumptions but you simply don't know for sure.
Narcotics are a huge problem in this country because of both sides of the coin. The doctors and the patient. I be seen people (good people) ruined by them. Had a surgery, developed a taste, same old story. Regardless of all that, every word, what gives any of you ignorant, narrow minded, sheltered, hypocritical, and flat out dumb mother f***ers the right to judge. It is not what makes you human. That is what makes you a resident of some hypocritical little Bible Belt town. This coming from a resident of one of those towns. This little discussion has very few decent ,humans, as previously used drilled, taking part in it.
And please take the time to write a reply because in no walk of life will I ever read it. It is only by chance I have entered your life.

That's not what makes me human I tell you that. I feel sorry for you people that feel that way cause you obviously don't know any better. So please go sit back down in your corner chair, next to your blinds or curtain and keep an eye on those neighbors of yours cause you know they're up to something ha ha.

To those who struggle with the disease of opiate addiction, make up your mind, toughen up mentally and physically, and kick it. You're in for a struggle but you can do it if you make up your mind. As simple and as hard as that. Good luck.

Well I love all ur posts about that dam dope fein I really love that Nucynta are made special I'm a recovering addict with 12 yrs clean and was in a terrible accident and take 100 MG 6 x a day along with other meds but my relapsing husband keeps stealing these pills and these pills only I caught him and asked him why only these and he says when he takes 3 100 MG at a time he gets really faded. I'm confused I really thought these pills were non addictive. Well as I sit here maybe there only addictive to people who abuse them. I'm just really glad he can't smoke them snort them or inject them. Thank you for all the imput

FALSE Mel. They wouldn't have a street value if they didn't get you high. Nor would they be a scheduled drug. I have a prescription and I've been on them for a year. What you've said is simply NOT TRUE. I want to add that I know they have a street value through researching them when I first started taking them in order to learn as much as I could to know exactly what I was putting in my body NOT because I was interested in buying OR selling them.

As said previously Nycynta has ingredients that will eat away nasal cartridge without any 'high'. However, if you've snorted other meds in the past to get high, the burning tricks your mind and it's like reliving those past experiences.
