Shelf Life Keflex
Updatedshelf life of keflex

Hi patty,
From what I could gather, Keflex (Cephalexin) has a shelf life of 3 years. After this time frame, the medication may not be nearly as effective as it should be, and therefore may not be strong enough to eradicate certain types of infections at this point.
If you do have expired antibiotics, it's probably a good idea to visit your doctor for a new script. This way you can at least be certain that it'll work the way it's supposed to and not cause drug resistant bacteria.
You can learn more about this drug on the page for Cephalexin Details
I hope this helps!
