I think Eddy could be right about this being rare, as I'm not seeing 'bruises' specifically listed on general drug monographs. Information I'm finding on pubmedhealth shows that "blistering, crusting, irritation, itching, peeling, or reddening of the skin" is related to an allergic reaction. However, in this case it sounds like something else altogether. A couple of the other symptoms I noticed on their side effect list are "hives or welts" and "yellow skin". Do your bruises have a yellow tinge to them?

At any rate, I agree that you should probably bring this up with your doctor if it has become too bothersome or severe. Your doctor may recommend trying something else altogether if left with no other option.

The problem with SOMA is you can bounce into a wall and not really feel it. You might have simply hit your hand and it didn't hurt so you never gave it additional thought. If this bruising is widespread I'd discontinue use until seeing the Doctor.
