Rp 5 325 Efficacy

Hello. I was just given a refill of 5-325 Oxycodone/Acetaminophen (Percocet). These pills are much smaller than the large white pills I normally take (8 yrs). These new pills have RP on one side. So far I have taken 2 and they don't feel as strong as what I'm used to. Can anyone comment if in fact this is a good generic or should I avoid getting them in the future?

Hi Tom,

I can't say for sure whether or not their quality/potency is comparable to other manufacturers, but if they aren't as strong as what you're used to taking, one theory I had is that the manufacturer (Rhodes Pharmaceuticals) may be using a different set of binders and fillers (inert ingredients) than their counterparts from other manufacturers.

According to numerous patient reviews I'm seeing on here, the different inactive ingredients from one tablet to another do seem to have some sort of an affect on how well the active substance(s) are being absorbed. I mean, how else would the same drug with the same dosage provide a substantially different amount of relief? It just doesn't add up.

Hopefully you're able to switch back to the other version that you're used to taking. Sometimes these pharmacies dispense the cheapest thing they have on hand, but if your doctor makes a note on the prescription to only dispense from a particular manufacturer, that sounds to me like it would be your best bet for sticking with what you know already works.

HI yesterday I picked up my Percocet from Wallmart my insurance had lasped so I paid cash and got a small white pill with r/p 325 from Rhodes Pharmaceuticals, its like taking sugar candy, ie or a placebo no effect and Im in the worst pain ever I live in florida and for the last 3 months its all been a night mare last month I spent 5 hours going from one pharmacy to the next and ive gone to the same pain doctor for the the past 4 years I use to take Percocet 5 mg roxicett from Roxann mfrg and it worked like a charm when I ask for it the staff llooks at me like im a junki what is going on the state of FLA

I was given a prescription for large white 349 5-325 pills which worked well even when cut in half. I'm now given R/P 5-325 small white pills which seem to be far less effective. Is this assumption correct? I've recently had surgery and I'm trying to recover. Thanks.

Got these from my doctor today! Not sure what they are, but they made me sick. I'm wondering if they were a Percocet? Are "rp 5/325" a Percocet tablet? Can these be broken in half? Or are these extended release?

I used to be prescribed percocet and what you got the RP are 5mg, and they DO NOT WORK, it's like a placebo effect, and u got the ones that don't work, in fact I think even 7.5 and 10, that have RP are a waste. So you unfortunately got the generic, and I don't have insurance either, the generics ARE NOT THE SAME, and big pharm is making a killing off of the poor, same with the government. Also with no insurance we don't get to choose which we'd rather have. It's so wrong, that they use the excuse, of addiction to lesson the potency in types like these, and Lortab 10, those would actually work 6 to 8 hours, but the fact that they got you "high" the don't fuse together but 350 ml of Tylenol. I find it funny, that oxytocin, legal fentynol, is still legal,and those are expensive as well, as oxycotin. I'm 57 now, have been on Lortab 10 650 for years, I was able to live a functional life, until the government got involved. Smh!

That is a 5 mil percocet, you may be getting sick if you're used to a stronger dose, and you are having withdrawals. The 325 is the amount of Tylenol, I thought percocet had ibuprofen, I wasn't on those long. So you're getting the lowest dose of pain relief. Isn't that lovely. It's big pharm, lies about what we're all addicted to as a nation, yet the ones that did work, and were more affordable are no longer. That's why you see the opioid epidemic now, Dr's did what DEA told them to do, and big pharm, knocked the Tylenol in half when fused together, it doesn't do any good to take a Tylenol with it either. You can thank president 43 for that. Yet the ones most were addicted to, is still legal to dispense; hence, more money. Make the poor suffer. Tell your Dr they aren't working, ask for him to have the ones that do dispensed only. I think Watson made my Lortab at the time, they literally worked 6 to 8 hours. Those of us that are responsible with it are the ones that have to suffer. I've told Dr's no to methadone, roxicet, and oxytocin in my young years, knowing I'd need something in my older years. Like now I'm 57 and I suffer, even on suboxone. I get generic tabs, the other is films, u place on your tongue. I was given one back in the day and they absolutely worked. The tabs work, but my RA is kicking my butt.
