can i take the trust pill after my menstruation? ive search the internet and it says u must take the pill on the first day of menses but my friend told me after the menses, so tell me pls as im confused, bc i want to use trust pills so that i will not get pregnant.

im in a 2nd pack of my trust pill. during my 1st pack i felt these unwelcome side effects such as breast tenderness, difficult breathing,depression.and i had that brown/black blood flow during my menstruation. could these be normal or should i stop taking this pill?

its my 1st time to take trust pills and i took trust pill after 4 days of my menstration and the last pill i need to take i have blood, i dont know what to do now, its my second day period now but its not the same before my regular menstration that i have more blood. my question is do i have to start now my another pack of pills? pls.reply me thanks!

hi,first time to use althea pill,,it was the 5th day of my mestruation, i noticed that it only has 21tablets and name of days are indicated,unlike the other pills that i usd before that there is a numbers,its saturday,is that mean that i should take the tablet with that day?the first tablet on the pack is sunday.

Lea, regardless of what days it says on the package, you should start these contraceptives on the first day of your menstrual cycle and continue taking one tablet, each day. If you do it this way, you are immediately protected against pregnancy, since the pills will prevent your next ovulation from occurring.

However, if you start at any point later than the second day of your cycle, then you will need to use some other form of protection against pregnancy for the first 7 days, that's how long it takes them to become effective.

Jen and Viang, such things are perfectly normal, when you are new to taking hormonal contraceptives and you should continue taking them on your regular schedule. That means starting a new pack of pills on the same day you normally would.

i took the althea pill for the first time on the second day of my menstruation, then after six days i had unprotected sex. was i safe then?

Rose, according to the pill manufacturers, as long as you start the first or second day of menstruation, you are protected immediately.

The only time you aren't is if you start the tablets at any other point in your cycle, then you would have to take them for a full 7 days, before you are protected against pregnancy.

i had sex 5hours after taking my 4th day tablet of trustpill,. i start taking the pill sunday late evening and it was my 1st day of period. did i still get pregnant?

october 21 is my last day of injectable for 3months and i dont have my menstruation yet.is it ok if i start taking the pills on october 22 and am i considered safe from pregnancy even if we dont use condoms if i can complete the first 7 days because my husband is coming on october29 exactly on my 7th days of taking pills.am i considered safe on that time.please let me know can u please reply to my email really hoping for your response thank u very much...take care always...

my problem is it must be a year i didn't get monthly period and im taking a hormonal medicine to get a menstration and after that im planing to take trust pills to continue my monthly period as i want..is it ok to take pills while im just forcing my body to get menstrual??

I have been taking trust pill since november 4 and its my 21 tablet sched . my period last october started from october 20. we had sexual intercourse with my boyfriend on october 22 wherein I still had my period. I took a very strong pill that was prescribed by a doctor after we made love. I am just worried since I still dont have my menstruation right now. is it possible that it will come during the time that I will take the brown tablets?is it possible that I am pregnant? does the trust pill prevented me from having period?
