Prescription Refill Every 30 Days

I have a prescription with instructions to refill every thirty days. I am having a disagreement with my pharmacy who will only do the refill on the 31st day. Problem is there computer starts counting thirty days on the day after the prescription is filled.

My doctor said I should still have Meds when I get my refill on the thirtth day. I have no Meds on the thirty first day. Guess I will have to change pharmacies.

Yes, and to make it worse, there are 7 months with 31 days. That leaves the person without any meds for 2 days. It is incredible that pharmacists can't do simple math and accuse people of trying to fill EARLY when they are not given the proper amount prescribed by the Doctor. It seems the mention of an opiate makes them go weak kneed and stupid.

Dr upped my dose of Percocet from 5 a day to 6 . pharmacy would not fill because they said it was to early from previous perscription and gave me back my script with there date on it. I put the orriginal date back on it that Dr had and took it to different pharmacy and they filled it can I legally get in trouble?
