Hello, Jason! How are you doing?

After that short of a time period you won't actually be addicted, unless you were abusing them. However, your body does get used to them and there may be some minor withdrawal effects if you stop taking them.

The best thing to do to minimize the problems would be to taper off of them slowly, by gradually reducing how many you take and how often.

Have you consulted your doctor about it? They should be able to help you do this as easily and safely as possible.

I agree with the previous post to your question about pain pill addiction. You having surgery, being subscribe narcotics to get your through the process of healing is normal. If you weren't taking narcotic pain relievers prior to surgery then just slowly weaning yourself off of the opioids shouldn't be an issue. It's one thing for your system to be adapted to the medication and another for you to be addicted. As long as you slowly stop it shouldn't be a problem. The opioids tell your brain after 4 to 6 hours that it's time to refuel so you have to do the best to stop. Cut the pill in half, or if you were taking more than 1 at a time, only consume 1. I wouldn't recommend anyone to just all of a sudden stop. It will cause your body to go through withdrawal. It doesn't mean your addicted.
