Phentermine Anyone Have Strange Side Effects? (Page 9)

I just started taking this medicine for weight loss. I am having hot flashes and cold chills, terrible headache and a tingly head. I feel awful. Has anybody taken this and had the same reaction? If so did it pass after a few days? Gotta say this...I am not ever hungry! Like to hear from anyone that has taken this med. Thanks :)

I am not sure if u are still trying to figure that out but I have used it.. just that I decided to just take it once a day instead of 2 times..

i just started taking it today and im experiencing chills, tingling head and headaches and feeling tired. Does anyone have any good advice. I have been drinking tons of water.

You need to always...drink at least 8 glassed of water each day...you are most likely getting dehydrated. I used to take it...1/2 of a 37.5 with the water...cut carbs by 75% and was loosing a pound a day....water water water....very important...good health to you and yours : )

A medical doctor I was seeing while taking the 1/2 of 37.5 stuff...because I was two hours away from their clinic in Sacramento...and I in S.F....said I could just take daily the B-12 tablets...so I took the 5000 mg that dissolve under the tongue...I also too 200 mcg of chromium picolinate...I went from a tight 40 to a 33 in just a couple of months...my friends said I lost too much weight...first time in my life I had to put the breaks on loosing weight so easily...and put back on a few more so I could wear 34's...true story...this really did work so easily for me : )

I just started taking this well I only took it for one day and that's all I'll ever take. I took a half of a pill and I felt not myself at all. I had uncontrollable crying, horrible mood swings and a terrible headache. I will not continue this medicine. I will just eat healthy with a low carb, high protein diet which I tried before and had success. It takes me a long time to lose weight but it's healthier than taking this diet pill. The way it made me feel is not worth any kind of weight loss. I want to be healthy and happy not crazy and miserable. I wouldn't recommend this for anyone.

Hi Linda, I'm not a Dr but am in the medical field. It sounds like you might have another issue. Bruising easy may be due to low iron. You might want to have your levels checked. In the mean time maybe take some iron vitamins. Hope that helps. I have been on the adipex on and off for a few years. I just got back on it a week ago . I have lost almost 30 lbs in the past three months along with diet and exercise . I got bad headaches and dry mouth also. I started drinking a ton of water ( which I wasn't a fan of but now am) and the headaches stopped. Since adipex suppresses your appetite you should take a omega 3 multi- vitamin. My aunts hair started falling out due to adipex and losing proper nutrition, which could explain the bruising and other side effects. I hope this helps and good luck in the weight loss battle!!!

Yesterday morning I started Phen at 37.5 mg. I took it about 45 mins before breakfast and then I ate I felt totally spaced out almost immediately afterwards. I felt like I would float away. I've been urinating quite frequently. I felt the desire to take another (nit really sure why). I have eaten twice not really because I was hungry but because it was time to eat. I haven't really had any other side effects.
However, I work 3rd so I'm not quite sure when I should take it. Before I go to work I'm the evening or in the morning when I get off.
Anyone have advice???

Hi guys. I lost 80 lbs in 3 months on 15 mg of Phentermine. I was 270 and now I'm 190. I feel like I'm starting to get hungry again. Should I double my dose? Or stop taking it for a little bit?

It's suggested you stop after 3 months use- then stay off for 3 months, etc. for a number of reasons that your Dr. should have reviewed with you :)

I have the same problem when taking phentermine. I've been on it a couple of different times the last couple of years and never had the leakage until after I started taking it. Did you find out anything?

Started phentermine 37.5 mg 3 days ago. Dr suggested I cut the pill in half and take one in the morning (no later than 7am) then the other half at noon. So far has worked great. I am thirsty and not hungry. He suggested a low carb low sugar diet. Even though I am not hungry I make sure and have a good breakfast (turkey bacon, egg and whole wheat toast) and a salad for lunch and protein and veggie for dinner. I have had sweating by just putting on my makeup, but I figured if I can sweat just doing that I won't have to work out so much at gym. I'm using this as a boost after hitting a plateau of the same 10lb weight loss over and over.

I'm a 33yr old female and I've been taking phentermine for 2 months now all of a sudden I can't climax. Does anyone else have this problem and what can I do about it?

It's most likely your thyroid. U need iodine. Take that with potassium. Also see a Dr and get your thyroid tested. Phentermine made my normal thyroid hypo when I quit taking it. Bruising easy is a sign of low iodine levels.
