Phentermine Anyone Have Strange Side Effects? (Page 8)

I just started taking this medicine for weight loss. I am having hot flashes and cold chills, terrible headache and a tingly head. I feel awful. Has anybody taken this and had the same reaction? If so did it pass after a few days? Gotta say this...I am not ever hungry! Like to hear from anyone that has taken this med. Thanks :)

Beverly, do not just stop taking them, wean yourself off. The withdrawals are way less and more manageable. I did it twice. And it worked both times. It is very hard I know. Youdo still feel fatigued. However it's way less than cold turkey. And do it over a span of 2 months.

honestly I had Gastric bypass almost 2 years ago. went from 280 to 205 and my appetite got stronger making gain weight. i am back up to 246lbs. doctor prescribed me phentermine and it gives me tons of energy and i havent experience and headaches, cold or hot flashes but then agian you should always be on some type of Vitamin. i take 1 a day, b12, calcium, iron and i just started on fish oil and garlic.....that way u can stiill feed your body the nutriants it desires even if youre not eating....

Marcia,i just started taking this pill from a doctor in mexico...the Phentermine.
I currently am taking WellbutrinXL for depression and anxiety and have been taking it for many years.
I just started a few days ago with the phen pill and already i have had feelings of helplessness and crying spells,yes im going through a divorce but i have been strong and felt strong. Can THAT be a side effect from this pill? These feelings that i have had are horrible and i feel so sad...

I haven't had any of those systems but I've been taking it for 3 days and I have no energy, like everyone else say they do. The first day I didn't want to eat but on my 3rd day I felt hungry. Was wondering if that's normal or if anyone else experienced that

I have no energy either I get in a total funk and can't get up and do anything. And I also get these horrible headaches around 2pm. I did loose 12 pounds in 2 weeks but I stopped taking them. The headaches were so bad. I'm sad cause I really looked forwarded to finishing the bottle and loosing the weight. The dr couldn't tell me why I feeling like this either.

I just started on 37.5 mg yesterday. I was on but after taking today I feel tingly, hot and extremely dizzy.....maybe I will only take 1/2 tomorrow and see how that goes.....how long does it take to wear off? When I get up my head spins and I feel like falling

I feel the same way I even fainted not to long ago I been taking the pill for a month and two weeks the headaches are so pain full I guess cuz I suffer from migraine so I get even stronger headaches

I have been on phentermine for little over a week and I am getting sores in my mouth and feel like there is a lump in my throat. I took this med a year ago and my doctor gave me 37.5 mg this time what should I do or how long does it take for my sores in my mouth to heal?

I am taking the 37.mg this stuff has a horrible crash, similar to recreational drugs that are uppers. When it really kicks in I feel like I'm tweaking, like pacing, peeking out the windows tweaking. It also has a fiend element to it, I find myself trying to talk my self into taking more and cutting a day out along the line. This is only day 2!! Idk about this crap.

hi. so what did you do? i have been on it since yesterday an I am experiencing similar issues as to what yo said a little while into it. I also go through something very similar to withdrawal within about 4 hours, yikes. Got more done in a day then i did all month or more,and it worked like it was supposed to but i don't know how long i can deal with the side effects.

I went to my doctor and he prescribed 30mg instead of 37.5 and it's wayyyy better. Maybe the 37.5 is too high.

Jason, i hear you. it was awful because my husband has never been around people who used drugs so the crash and withdrawal was awful. i did take another one so i would feel normal until he went to work. I've been up like 28 hours cleaning house and stuff. i have capsules so i can't cut them i half though.

I was on adipex for 1 month lost 20 pounds. The Dr gave me another month supply which I took for 2 weeks. I lost 5 more pounds. And I stopped taking them. My question is 2 months later can I finish using the last 15 pills safely without getting fired if I take a drug panel? I was prescribed them but it's been 2 months ago.

THAT IS WAY TOO MUCH IN ONE DAY!!! you should only be taking 37.5mg MAX!! you are best to find another doctor bc he/she is a moron!

I was instructed to take one half of the 37.5 blue speckled tab daily...along with 200 mcg of chromium piclinate each day. The M.D. said I could just take B-12 tablet every day instead of coming in for shot every two weeks or whatever. The M.D. was two hours from where I lived. My sister in law and her son in law both melted away on program. I said...I'm going where you went and am going to do what you did. That's why I had to drive two hours : ) I was instructed...no cars/loading up the first two days; after two days could re-introduce carbs...about 75% less then I had been consuming; protein was 4oz to 6oz each of three meals. I would bring those fiber/protein breakfast bars with me...and only one in between meals if I was hungry and only one fruit per day. Very very important...8 glasses of water a day. Within a couple of days I was loosing about a pound per day. I went from a snug 40" and 230 lbs down to a 33" and 175 lbs within five weeks...and without any side effects...except for having to buy a new pair of jeans about every two weeks : ) I kept the weight off...stayed around 185 ish for quite a while. I'm getting ready to start the program again...and I know I will do good again. Water water water...and only 1/2 a tab...was probably doing 1,200 to 1,500 caleries per day...and did a lot of walking. By the way...I was semi homeless at that time...I was eating all my meals at McD's and TacoBell...really...no sodas, french fries...would have an apple pie once in a while. I am also semi disables, too....but nobody can really tell I am...I also take other nutritional supplements not. I'm 63...no grey hair...and still have hair : ) am told I look like I'm in my 40's or early 50's...each day I'm doing better and better...have a business I'm launching in S. F. Don't be afraid to use this...just do it because you want to be healthier and happier...Good Health To You and Yours : )

I thought only women have hot flashes, sweating profusely, but me too then suddenly I will get the chills and then uncontrollable shivering. I'm only on my 4th day and I lost 6 pounds. I heard the bad side effects will go away after a few days. Should I continue?
