Phentermine Anyone Have Strange Side Effects? (Page 13)

I just started taking this medicine for weight loss. I am having hot flashes and cold chills, terrible headache and a tingly head. I feel awful. Has anybody taken this and had the same reaction? If so did it pass after a few days? Gotta say this...I am not ever hungry! Like to hear from anyone that has taken this med. Thanks :)

Thank you so much for your post it was very helpful. After my slow start taking 1/4 pill then working my way to half and now a full pill tomorrow will be exactly one month. The headaches are not as bad as they were the first few weeks and since I don't drink caffeine no anxiety attacks!! I am happy to say that my weight is down 11lbs!! It has been a rough start but I'm glad I'm going in the right direction!

You're only supposed to take it for 3 months at a time! Then you need a break.

Hi.. Phentermine also relaxes tense muscles..this sounds like caffeine OD or withdrawal or sugar withdrawal from diet change.. Also what I found is that during your time on this go to a chiropractor and or massage therapists to reset your musculoskeletal system..sometimes when you finally relax it offsets your system and it needs to be adjusted and relengthened..the headache is usually caused by these things on top of PNS system protections.. It is temp. Lower dose until adjusted if you need to..your dr. will agree..

Phentermine has gotten to be the only way I can lose weight now. I have taken it for weight loss for years and I have acne at 62 years of age, I eat much more than normal and have to go back on them frequently because of it, and I talk incesintly when I take them. I am more overweight now than ever....STILL....I have to ask myself, would I be obese instead of 30 pounds overweight?

I have been taking 37.5 in the am for 3 weeks.
In the afternoons I feel extremely fatigue, tired n with no energy. Also feel like I'm going to faint. Can't even walk for more than 20min without feeling like I must sit. Why is this happening?

I get a dry mouth usually toward the end of the day. And I think sometimes I sweat a bit easier. However, I'm never hungry and the best side effect for me- My libido has returned x10! My libido is in absolute overdrive! I'm 41 and usually have a low drive and at first I couldn't figure out what was going on. No joke, I have a high libido ALL the time. If I didn't have a boyfriend any random guy walking by might be in danger. It ridiculous. Not complaining tho. Lol. I've heard it doesn't do that for everyone though. Some say it decreases their libido. For me it elevates it. Lucky me I guess.

MizzDrieka- yes I agree on Phen giving you crazy high libido. Me too. And very intense climax. Actually, when I get turned on, which takes nothing these days, it seems any extra hydration is in my nether regions. No lubricant needed! In fact its at the point where I think its too much. Whereas I get a dry mouth late in the afternoon. Go figure! Lol

I've been taking phentermine for about 3 years on and off. I am currently taking it and I just recently started getting light headed and dizzy on almost a daily basis. I went to the eye doctor and he adjusted my prescription that was too strong and told me to come back in a week to see how I was doing. It seemed to have helped slightly. I've also been diagnosed with migraines and vertigo by my doctor. I've been an overall healthy person. However my most recent symptom is feeling like me body is tingling all over. I can only feel it when I'm sitting still. If I'm walking, running, going up steps or doing anything else I don't even feel it. My husband says I need to stop taking it asap and give my body a break. I just hope it's not a more serious medical condition like MS or brain tumor. Has anyone else experienced these conditions? I've had different symptoms pop up on and off since about January/February of this year. I'm extremely stressed out at my job as well as from constantly googling what's going on (I know my husband tells me not to do that) and seeing the results that pop up.

Ok so I have been taking phentermine for about 8 months and I have one side effect worth checking on. I have noticed a marked increase in libido and about 15 to 20 times the discharge, I have not seen this any where, has anyone heard anything like this from the medication?

I've been taking these over the last few years and always found I got those symptoms when I hadn't eaten, if you eat and drink water regularly you won't get headaches and symptoms like that, the tingly head etc does pass after a week or so, I don't get anything like that anymore but I must say I have come to a standstill on the weight loss, lost a stone and 4lb in the first 3 months and now nothing for the last 2 months, I don't put on which is a good thing but I just want to lose the last 5lb!

Well at first they were really good, first few months it was falling off me, had no appetite but now I'm hungry all the time and can eat like a horse! I was 10st 8 when I started and now I'm stuck at 9st 3 or 4, it's taken 7 months.I know the lighter u are the harder it is to lose but I'm getting fed up now. I used to take them years ago and they gave me water tablets but they don't give them now, I always thought they helped but ones you can buy don't seem to do anything!

Oh yes. Crazy libido surge! At least for me. And yes on the increased wetness. And I'm female if you weren't sure by my screen name. lol.
I also get a very dry mouth at times. Funny that I have no fluid in my mouth but apparently it all goes down below. Go figure! Lol. Sometimes I also get a a bit hot and a sheen of sweat breaks out. Not a lot, just sheen all over my forearms (is where I notice it most and sometimes forehead) and then it disappears.
