Phen Chrome

Why can't I find any information on this? My Dr. wants me to take it for weight loss but I found that it isn't a prescription and it has to be made at a special pharmacy. I know phen-phen was a bad deal, is this different?

It sounds like the regimen which you have been recommended is a dose of Phentermine coupled with Chromium Picolinate.

The Chromium is an over the counter nutritional supplement which is supposed to help reduce cravings for fat & carbs - although I do not believe that extensive clinical trials have been conducted to prove its efficacy.

Fen-phen is completely different such that it contained an ingredient Fenfluramine which was deemed to be unsafe, and was banned by the FDA.

I have heard reports of individuals having good results with the Phen Chrome combination (for instance, losing upwards of 20-30 pounds in just a few months) ... however going on a program like this does still have a possibility of gaining the weight back once you stop. Phen-pro-chrom for weight loss

I started taking this combination October 20th. I weighed 276. I was told by the pharmacist that the Prozac that is included in this compound causes the Phentermine to maintain its efficacy. Phentermine suppresses your appetite. The Chromium Picolinate keeps your sugar level stable. These 3 are combined in a time release capsule. For me this combination really works. Its November 26th and I just weighed 243. I hardly have any appetite. I have been working out some but I have only been eating 1250 cals a day on a low carb diet. I have gone from a tight 44 dress slack to a loose 38 and getting close to 36. I have also been taking Raspberry Slim along with Adrenalean. Adrenalean helps speed up my metabolism. I just take one of each in the AM. My goal is to get to 215 by Jan. 15th. FYI my pharmacist also said that the Prozac is what really makes this work. It has some effect on an enzyme that causes Phentermine to lose its effectiveness after about a week. When you take Prozac with the Phentermine it has some kind of synergistic effect and blocks that enzyme. You just don't feel hungry. For me its better than Fen-phen. Hope this helps...I will let you know when I get to 215. My final goal is 185 to 190 by March 21st. I am 6'1
