The FDA rated Ampicilina as a pregnancy risk category B. Therefore, this medicine is not expected to cause harm to or birth defects in an unborn fetus. However, Ampicilina does pass through the mother's breast milk and can affect a nursing baby. Nursing mothers should avoid this medication. for those out there with doubts heres what i gotta say when i used it. i took 2 pills 500mg each every 6hrs. i had a fever it was just terrible and it got rid of it in less then 24 hrs. i would have to use the restroom every 5 hrs or so.. pee does smell. i would get like diarrea as well but not a big issue at all... now i have a runny nose and i have to wait 24hrs to take a different medecine. im just feeling awesome just the little issue with a runny nose.

Pentrexyl has always been effective. Although different bodies react differently to Antibiotics/Ampicilin. When I usually have a Virus or infection I take it and usually still feel like crap the first day but usually feel so much better the next! My mom gets it for me from Mexico. No matter what always forget to up your Vitamin C as well.

I had a terrible throat infection for about a month. I do not have any insurance and did not want to wait at the free clinic for them to tell me "it's a virus" or "you don't have strep", "you will need to pay $95 for the clinic visit." I used this and my infection has improved tremendously. I am not yet finished with all the medication. It makes me really thirsty. No other side effects so far.

I live in Mexico and i have been taking Pentrexyl / Ampicilina since childhood, always with great results. I understand that it is part of the penecillin family so if you are allergic to penicillin, you should be careful.
Pentrxyl and or Ampicilina is especially used for ear, throat, sinus, molar, tooth and tonsil infections. Especially tonsils. The normal dosis is a capsule/pill every 6 to 8 hours, depending on your weight and health problem. Every 4 hours is way too much.
Also, if you are coughing, it´s best to also use some sort of cough syrup. If you have a sore throat and need relief, try using trocitos de terramicina.
Unfortunately, here in Mexico, you can no longer get antibiotics without a prescription. Luckily, almost every pharmacy has a doctor on hand.

I live in Monterrey and my brother in law is a dentist he said with this medication at 500 mg each u take 1 every 8 hrs. Its just penicillin! A normal anti biotic.

I was in the Dominican and got some sort of weird bite. It could have been from a spider, and my hand swelled up, and I had a big purple bump. I took ampicilina and could feel it working a half hour later. 3 days later it was gone. It worked well. The swelling went down and it looked like a mosquito bite after. I only paid 25 cents for 3 pills here in the Dominican lol
