Peach Round Suboxone

Updated

was taking the white round suboxone with moon on it for terrible opiate addiction and doing well. Last prescription refill was given peach colored round ones and they DO NOT work as well. I was working my program with minimal cravings and now it is a different story. These generic ones do not work the same. Will continue to fight the fight and stay clean-one day at a time

I completely understand you i have been taking half moons all along ...until tonite my Local Cvs told me they are no longer dispensing them?? So with no notification i got home to find out I was given brand Roxanne Peach 54 375?? I am unsure of these and have not taken 1 yet...i am praying they are not like the orange AN 415 ...those are terrible do nothing for me. Half moons have been working very well for me....i cant believe they dont tell you. You just get home to find out Bam your meds have changed??

I can also understand the frustration you might have when you get home only to find out that you paid for a different brand altogether; especially one that is as ineffective as the peach colored tablets you mentioned.

From what I've read, the generic version of any medication is allowed to have a 20% variation (compared to brand names) in it's overall peak plasma concentration in your blood stream. This means that in some cases it may or may not even have the potential to be as effective as a brand name.

And that doesn't include the "ever-changing" inactive ingredients that bind the pill together. This is just a theory, but based on my research, a lot of binders/fillers these companies use seem to be unable to fully metabolize once ingested, potentially resulting in the medication not being completely released and/or passing through partially undigested. Makes me wonder what type of diagnostics they perform in clinical trials that allow them to pass this off as something that doesn't really matter to their customers.

Well said david. Ive been working the program doing the best to my ability to live a stable life....work...keep healthy ..stay positive. Suboxone has given me a chance to do all this. I just cant believe they keep changing the medication. Its like i said i got home to find out my medication had changed with no warning what so ever....to find out i paid for something that is not what i have been taking saddens me. I took it i feel weird. Its not the same as im used to and im starting to feel like s#/%

The white half moons it was said by the fda it was less potent than the others because there was a mishap over two billion pills of the white half moons contained only 5.9mg of bupe but they had made so many they released them anyways it was later it was found out so in short the white ones are less potent than any of the others and they are all generics the only name brand were the stop signs. Also in the beginning of your paragraph you say the peach ones don't work as well then you turn around and say that you haven't even taken one of them yet, so I'm guessing you're taking other people's word for it I would suggest you try it yourself first with open mind because they do work rather well :-)

Tracey & 'Struggling'- I am replying to your post over a year later. But the same thing that happened to u happened to me. I was taking The White Half Moons 155 made by mfr Actavis Pharma from Cvs For Quite sometime. Then one day I got the orange generic bupe by mfr Roxanne Labs. I don't remeber the imprints. I tried it and it made me sick. Cold sweats, nausea. It felt as tho i was withdrawing for 3 days. I explained this to cvs. They were able to special order the 155 half moons... untill a week ago (late nov 2015) they became "discontinued". After a joyous, and rousing game of phone tag with my dr office, I ended up having my dr rewrite the rx for subutex. My insur doesn't cover brand name suboxone at all. I was on that originally for a short time until cvs slapped me w a +$100 "penalty" Bc I wasn't getting a "90 day supply mail ordered". Went thru 2 denial letters stating I have mandatory UA and Dr only writes 1 fill at a time.
To conclude. I think it's the INACTIVE INGREDIENTS in the orange generic pills that gave me a reaction. I read some people didnt have a bad reaction so its all subjective. I easily found the inactive ingredient list for 155. Because I don't know the imprint on Roxane Labs orange pills, I culdnt find list easily. They do have a website (roxane labs). I intend to do some digging on their inactive ingred bc I know that's what made me sick. IF we all write to them (click 'contact us' on their website) and complain, maybe they'll hear our plea. Also if they start seeing cvs sales on that particular drug decrease, that'll speak louder. It's all about the money. Trust me, i work in management in retail. Pharmaceutical companies keep switching and it's defeating the purpose.

P.s. - Jules's I found your post interesting about 155 containing less than 8mg bupe. Good luck to all. Fight the good fight

The white round 155 worked for me but now having to take these and the AN 415 it's triggering my angioedema and making my throat swell shut, my tongue swelling up, and other facial swelling. Some ingredient in these are really messing me up!! I wish they'd just leave things alone!! If it works for a big percentage than why mess with it. Their not the ones who are living in hell with a disease such as addiction. All they care about is making more and more money. These have seriously threw me back in withdrawal and I've been doing good for quite sometime!!
