Oxycontin And Oxycodone In A Urine Drug Test

I understand that oxycotin is the brand name of time released oxycodone but need to know if anyone has actually taken a urine test after taking oxycotin but are being prescribed the 30 mg blues. I got tested but had suboxone, subutex, ops, and 30s in my system, I had been going to that doc for years and had no clue he started testing. It was the type that gave immediate results and when he went over the results I was still in such shock that I can't remember the breakdown but it did have a +/- for suboxone and I'm worried that there was one for oxycotin. I'm 3 days short of the 30s before my visit so I want to be sure I can take oxycotin so I don't get sick and pass the test if I have to take one???

Billy727 how did your result come up? I am going through a very similar situation. Testing negative for oxycontin that I'm prescribed BC I ran short, but thank God my doc doesn't test for sub's. But I do have 8 5mg percs... Will those work to gibe me a positive UA that I need? And if so, how many and when should I start taking them to make sure they're in my system and that an adequate amount is as well? Again I'm supposed to take 20mg OP's everyday. I haven't had any for a while, (some got stolen by family member.) So by time my test comes I'd be out for almost 3 weeks. Will percs be enough? Thanks again!

Oxycontin is the same as oxycodone. It will test the same. Oxycontin is time released oxycodone. I prefer the oxycontin because it last longer which helps better for the pain. If you take high doses it of both it may show positive for lortab. My Dr. Had me on 2 60 mg oxycontin & 3 30 mg oxycodone a day. I tested positive for lortab but I swore to him I only took what he had prescribed. He said on a high dose it was bleading over showing positive for lortab. When they send it to the lab he said they would be able to confirm that.

Yes the oxycotion which is not the name brand, its the extended release form of the drug will show up as the same as oxycodone on the test.
