Oxycondoyne And Nuvigil

Updated

My partner has increased her oxy intake substantially since taking nuvigil and can't explain whether it's needed for pain or depression. It will end in depression because her 120/mo 15 mg/oxy just won't last. The apparent simultaneous use of both meds seems to show a departure from reality. Similar experiences requested.

Hello, Michael! How is she doing?

Oxycodone is a narcotic analgesic, so it isn't going to properly treat depression. It does give some people a lift, but that is only temporary, because it is a side effect that eventually wears off, so the person must keep raising their dosage to get it back. She's getting in a bad cycle here that has the potential to be very dangerous. She shouldn't be taking more of this than her doctor has directed.

Learn more Oxycodone details here.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Is she needs treatment for depression, then she needs to inform her doctor of the problem, so a proper diagnosis can be made and treatment can be begun, if appropriate.

Are there any other questions or concerns?

I had the same problem, it's because the Nuvigil reduces the effect of the oxy so you have to take more oxy to get the right pain relief.
