It's just oxycodone, which is what I prefer. Trying to get my doctor to prescribe a higher dosage (10,20 mgs ) is next to impossible. He prescribed oxycodone (IR) Immediate Release. I don't like them. I am honest and take my pain medication as prescribed, however others who have abused and misused the drug, have made it very difficult to get pain meds. I'm catching hell trying to manage my neck, shoulder, spine, and disc pain. Please is there any help out there from the medical community? They worry more about folks becoming addicted, then trying to give me some much needed pain relief. I thought doctors take oaths to save lives and relieve pain. Even pain management clinics refrain from prescribing pain killers. What are we supposed to do? I refuse to keep visiting and supporting the medical professionals if they fail to address my needs and force the pain community to deal with our honest need for relief from pain. My advice to you take the plain Oxycodone and be glad you have them. I started taking half of a 5mg just to see how I would react one year age, now I take four 5 mgs daily, that's just so I don't run out of pills too quickly. The doctor cut down the pill amount from 180 to 120. I have to make them last and deal with the pain.
