Oxycodone Heroin False Positive

I have not taken heroin in a year and a half but had a hair follicle test and it came back positive. I swear on my brother's grave I have not had any since then. Also I do mouth swabs now for my drug test and it came back positive for morphine. I am highly allergic to morphine and will go into anaphylactic shock. I am on oxycodone HCl. Would this have come back positive for the morphine or for the heroin?

Wow, I was reading & I'm in lots of pain so I came across your topic & thought it was good to see someone asking a very important question. I have worked for very large labs & a company outta California that specifically make all the current drug test, rather urine, blood, to hair, it's just not a boundary. You see Oxycodone is made Synthetically by evil men, it's been around near 100 + years but only resurfaced back in the late 80's-90's, & in this time Purdue Pharma has made hundreds of billions of dollars off this product of their, the new formula not had by MS. Sulfate gives me the idea of it's time release effects, I too take oxy 15's for break through, actually meds not very strong for someone that went through what I do & Lived to tell the truth. So what I'm getting at here basically, is you can have a test (containing up too & over 12 panels for example) & the only true morphine is going to be just that the morphine, now if their looking for both of them in your system, they can VERY MUCH INDEED TEST FOR THE TWO, along w/ LOTS of other stuff. Morpine= pure agonist also hydros, dills, & many other will show up in the same as morphine. They have tests that are so intense that your pee can say x amount of morphine, marijuana, xscy, oxycodone, etc.. I would of though this topic would be around somewhere, it's all BS too, I say sow them everywhere. If doing good in a couple weeks that your new crop will be ready when needed. It's truly very sad that such an amazing breakthrough in the history of mankind, should be cast out & taught to have society turn an eye to it, sad this makes me. Just late 50's & Early 60's Bayer corp. had just about as many homes w/ a small bottle just like today's aspirin but clearly it was even labeled heroin. I bet Bayer kicks it own ass to this date, and I've never even seen or tried heroin, maybe I would if it was pharmacutical grade & or from my doctor because I trust her so much. I see w/all the stronger pain meds coming out & those that need at least a few percs through the day but Quality is going to go up, as long as you stay clear of these Yoo I wanna be a Wangster & I wanna let b****es have a second chance but Lil young ladies of today are freaking strange, way too emotional, don't use needles & if you just have to than use your own & be sure their sterile & away from humans... Growing anything that comes from seed, GODS SEED, gods earth.. Anyways, it's sad to see man have the right to ban so many great & wonderful ideas, so big loves. I hope that this new presidential ellect is not going to be another Ronald Regan, he's already stated a new more high tech "WAR ON DRUGS" old man is off his cco cop but whats the other choice, the criminal & roverall just not what we need right now, sorry to get off topic but I didn't actually I wanted all to know & be sure to watch trump because he's up to no good. I pray for this country & for every man & woman nor child that has to live day to day w/ pain that is beyond bad, it's in humane & only a few hand fills of doctors I know off, refuse to watch their patients suffer & only tell them more lies so we know their not at home shooting up, I hope everyone has a better relationship w/ their doctors. I take just a tiny bit of prescribed pain meds., & they help me to be able to function more, more overall myself, & best of all I still love to dream. I dream of a world where our medicine kabinets are full of all kinds of freaky plants & herbs. Ya dabba doo!'!!

I have been at the same pain clinic for two years and been on fentanyl 100mcg patch and oxycodone 30mgs and also Dilaudid 4mg the entire time. At my last urine test they sent me a letter stating I tested positive for heroin :( I am livid! I have never used nor been around heroin in my life. Trying to see if anyone knows what could possibly make me test positive for this drug?

I have had this same problem in 2006. I was taking hydrocodone at the time. While I was at work I had a small accident and of course the first thing companies do is to give you a drug test. I get why they do that, however, I tested positive for THC and HR told me that they were sending my test to an outside lab. When the lab did my test they found no traces of THC. However, I was told that I did test positive for morphine, hence my job sought to terminate me. Even though my job was aware of the hydro prescription I had and the lab had a copy of the same prescription. I then started my own investigation. After talking to several pharmacies I was told the same thing by all the pharmacies that opioids such as morphine and codeine were in the same family, that you can't get one without getting the other. What a relief. I called the lab telling them about my discovery. The lab told me that they weren't aware of my hydrocodone prescription and asked me to re-send it which I did. A couple of days later I received a phone call from the lab telling me that they emailed my job resending their original finding and that I was clear to return to work.
