I was taking 15mg Oxy.IR, 1 tab X 6hrs. Dr. said that they are no longer available. He prescribed Morphine Sulphate, 30mg CR. Prescribed 1, 30mg tab evevy 12 hours. Will this work as well for the pain and is it simular? Thanks for any info.

Regarding the caplet in the first post, with the L 5 marking that was red/gray/blue that is an over the counter product that contains 500mgs of Acetaminophen in a rapid release formulation.

Daniel, how did the Morphine work for you?
You went from an instant release to a time released medication, so that is the part that may have caused some problems.
The dosage, however, was actually slightly higher, so you may have still gotten good analgesic effect.
