Orgametril Side Effects

I'm 49 years old, had a particial hysterectomy in 2002. Moved to Amsterdam in 2006, and in 2008 developed ovarian cysts. Had them removed in 2009, they grew back in less than 6 months. Started taking Orgametril around Oct 2009 for recurring cysts. The cysts have shrunk completely. I haven't gained weight, but I have suffered from hemmoroids since June 2010 (sugrery for this in Dec.). However, I have night sweats and very bad mood swings. I have been very depressed with little will to live. This impacts my relationship with my partner, friends, and family. I thught the depression was because I've been looking for work for 2 years and so bored sitting home all the time (friends work and have families; partner works anytime he is awake...) and unable to care for personal financial responsibilities and dependent on partner for everything. He has cancer and refuses to take male hormones because he doesn't want to become depressed (perhaps seeing my state is a deterrant). How likely are the pills affecting my behavior? I take St John's Wart in both pill and tea form just to keep suicidal thoughts at bay but it is a current daily struggle when everyday seems the same and I dread seeing daylight and another day of feeling this way. In this case, it is very hard to say what may be causing it, because you have several distinct possibilities.

1) The fact that you had a hysterectomy, which naturally disrupts the hormones in your body and when this happens, it is well known to cause depression and problems for women, even for many years afterwards. It basically throws you into Menopause.

2) The medication, since it is hormonal, yes, it could also be causing it.

3) Your circumstances.

4) A combination of all of the above.

I understand that your financial situation is bad, however, I think your best option would be to see a doctor. No one can really discern the root of your problem from a post on the internet, but a doctor can help get to the root of the issue.

hi i am 32 years old ,unmarried ..couple of days back i took orgametril 5 mg for about 15 days due to some travelling ,wanted to avoid my periods ...thn as soon as i discontinued da medicine i got my periods after some days but they were not proper..my usually periods last for abt max 5 days and i have a normal flow not very heavy ..so after couple of days passed i noticed a dark brown fluid coming from my vagina but not regularly once or twice than now i noticed a proper period kinds thing today ..so i just wanted to know dat is this normal to have irregular periods after having orgametril for this long .please reply soon thank you :)

hi. i am hera to ask about my mother . she is 48 years old and has a cyst in her right ovary due to which there is an irregularity in her menestrual cycle . blood is coming out of her vagina . she has been given orgametril by the doctor.
the question is will it decrease the size of the cyst decrease or how will it ?
and will she be okay .?

hi,i am 21years old unmarried.i have menorrhagia,my uterus is bulky,anteverted,distorted in shape measuring about 9.0cm(A/P), with multiple fibroid 7.3X6.1cm in posterior wall and another 2.8X2.5cm & 2.6x2.3cm in size in anterior wall.Endometrial thickness 10.0mm.Cervix normal in size.Right ovary size enlarged in size(3.9X3.1X3.8cm volume being 24.8cc) and ,left ovary (4.3X3.2X4.2 cm volume being 31.4cc).both ovary are normal echogenicity with regular in outline.ovaries are polycystic.Haematology report is normal.Immunological report is normal.Biochemical report is normal.Now i am taking Lynestrenol BP 5 mg for one and half month.But now i notice that brown fluid is coming out from my vagina and it's not stopping and the amount is very low.Now i am so tensed.Is this the side effect of this drug.

Hi I am 48 years old unmarried. 2 years back i was having problems with my menses so I was put on Meliane for 4 months, then orgametril for a couple of months. During the tablets my period were regular bur when I stopped taking the tablets my periods became irregualr, ie. last year got them after 2 or 3 month. This year 2014 I got my periods in Feb, march for 5 to 6 days and then in April for only a day. I have not got my periods since then. My vaginal area is dry since 2 months, am very tense most of the time, and feel depressed.

Hi, I have been on orgametri for two months, I completed the dose on 28th March 2015, I was expecting to get my menses immediately after, this hasn't happened. Now my question is, how long does it take for menses to resume after stopping orgametri?

its my first day of using orgametril tables ( due to having twice periods in a month) and I found red blood but not heavy.Is this fine? Should i continue or stop the medicine for this period this continue it? and if i continue should the blood stop?
