Orange Subutex 153 Half Moon (Page 6)

Updated

I use these and they work great. I was on the Roxanna Pharma ones that were circular in size and these orange ones work way better. Wish I had been on them from the start.

Not true, was in the hospital, they were dosing me Subs & 4mg Morpheine IV every 4 hrs.. Subutex does NOT have a blocker, therefore does not cause withdrawal if taken with another opiate period.

And what were you in the hospital for exactly? Were you coming off either one of those two drugs or using both of our voting you down from something else?

I am trying to kick a heavy opiate addiction and am wanting to know more details about these new subutex and how well they work or don't work?

To be honest bro you will hear a hundred different people tell you a hundred different things. I was on a hundred plus dollar habit a day for around five years. I had many detoxes and rehabs I went through during that period. I was given Suboxone when you couldn't get generics and it was relatively new on the market. Now you can get ten generics of Suboxone and Subutex. REGARDLESS: Subutex and Suboxone both contain buprenorphine. Buprenorphine is a partial opiate antagonist or in lamens terms it binds to the opiate receptors (miu receptors) with a much greater 'stick' than vicodin, oxycodone, etc. to those receptors. This means when you take either Subutex or Suboxone you are filing your opiate receptors with this super strong binder called buprenorphine. If you were too take any opioids or opiates the buprenorphine would not give it's "place" up to those drugs. The only real way to release the bond of the buprenorphine to the receptors is time or narcan (naloxone). Now about two years back I was in school to become an addiction counselor and we had a class that had one of the original reps. of Suboxone come in to lecture and for q & a. The question was asked about what keeps someone from feeling high while on Suboxone and of course the answer i just have above was shared. Now another person asked, "what's the reasons for the naloxone them?" He simply said it is one of many ways we keep people from diverting the meds (not be able to misuse them as much; for example intravenously). Long story short Suboxone was originally just buprenorphine in other counties until it came to America and the fda told the makers of the Suboxone they must come up with a way to at minimum make it harder to divert or misuse this medicine or they would have to reclassify it to a higher class which would make it harder for patients to get a prescription and so on.... SOLUTION: add naloxone cuz it gets destroyed by the acid in your stomach just like buprenorphine does, that why it's taken sublingually. They have also went from pills to film again in an effort to keep the rate of diversion of Suboxone to a minimum, not for helping patients, but to keep the fda off their backs. I know people will tell you differently but i promise this is the true reason and difference between suboxone and subutex and like any med done patients might do better on one brand or generic than another. Sorry but to answer your question, I took these meds for years and never quit, not cuz the suboxone didn't help, it's cuz I wasn't ready. Once i was ready and took the suboxone the way im suppose to i got clean and now have almost 3 years no Suboxone and five no opiates. Hope this helped... Check out this stuff for yourself cuz people that say that you can take subutex and still have opiates are just spreading rumors.

Personally I like the bigger white subutex by Roxanne Laboratories. I think the orange ones by Actavis may be some of the cheaper generic ones though.

I was in the hospital for a serious stomach condition actually.. So, to answer your question, nope, I wasn't coming "off" anything, I have been stable on Subutex for 2 years. If I was coming off of ANYTHING, I don't think they would've been given me so much morphine, plus my regular Subs & prescribed meds while admitted in the hospital for 3 days! Js

I was taking close to 20 PK's a day, one day, I just couldn't do it anymore. I got help, now taking SUBUTEX. I only take a few mg's of SUBUTEX daily..A bit in the am, a bit at night, I have been off pk's 2 plus year's. I have not had any cravings what so ever! You have to want to stop, first and foremost. If you think you will relapse, take Suboxone..You won't relapse again I'm told. If you know you will stay clean, SUBUTEX is the way to go. I also refuse to take 2 and 3 SUBUTEX a day as it to me defeats the purpose..So I take half a day total..That's half of a 8 mg daily.
This is my opinion only, how I did it and what worked for me! What the guy said above..You will hear tons of stories...Just be true to yourself, get the help and don't turn back! It will help you if you want it!
Peace~

Mary,
That's awesome!!!! Thankyou for sharing your experience, strength and hope.Recovery is possible for EVERYONE. Some require the assistance of opiod replacement therapy and that's fine.Addiction is a biochemical disorder that may require this protocol to offset changes to the brain.
For those who discount folks and use fear tactics to dissuade others needing subs or methadone need to educate themselves. RECOVERY BY ANY MEANS POSSIBLE. Congrats and keep up the good work:)

Subutex or Suboxone had nothing to do with how much a person "feels" he or"knows" he can stay sober. That's the most ridiculous thing I ever heard. So your doc said do you think you will relapse? You said "no i know i won't" and he said in that case you can have Subutex cuz Suboxone is only for those who aren't sure so they get sick and suffer? That makes zero sense. First off it can depend on insurances that will only cover Subutex others only Suboxone unless a person is allergic to naloxone then they will cover Subutex. It really just depends what your doctor feels like prescribing or likes to prescribe and what your insurance covers.

I literally and have, while having insurance problems, gone from one generic Subutex to another generic suboxone back to a different suboxone generic then back to Subutex. Some work better than others but at the end of the day I was 24hrs. Cleaner. And fit the guy with Subutex and morphine. How many mg of Subutex were you taking cuz it takes 8mg stacked day by day to keep all brain cell covered with buprenorphine. 4 mg daily covers a little less than half and so on. So if you were only taking 4,mg daily or something that's why they could still give you morphine too but im very surprised they did that

Oh hell ya, me too..I'm totally surprised they did that! I agree with you here.

Please read the link below so the ones that still argue (that naloxone is a blocker in suboxone and it's not the buprenorphine in BOTH subutex and suboxone that is the true blocker) can stop. I'm sure there are those that will still argue how the naloxone in suboxone is a blocker from opiates and subutex has no blocker. Remember this is .org page and is what i said at least ten times. Please stop spreading the wrong info. You will not get sick if you already have a full coverage of buprenoprhine in your receptors. If you're on subutex or suboxone just won't feel high (don't try with higher doses cuz once it breaks through it could be fatal). You will however get sick if you administer dope intravenously and take a few 8mg suboxone right after, but not from a little 2mg after 20 vicodin.

Just a little 2 mg after 20 PK's..Lol. That little 2 mg helped me after my 5 or so year pk habit! I've been to many of meetings, all agree with me...After we start to have withdraws, that so called 2 mg pill help! I don't claim to be a doctor and I don't give instructions to anyone EVER here on this site. It's dangerous and stupid! I tell what works for me and me alone! I don't play games with people's lives...I advise anyone who takes Subutex or Suboxone, seek medical attention and of course do as your doctor tells you to do. Now, I will say this..I have never taken it intravenously! If you do, and you plan on taking Suboxone..You better wait till full withdrawal hits. The smart thing to do is just follow Dr orders!

I have noticed all pharmacy not giving the 54 411 big white ones any more. And I really liked those ones. But now take the orange 153 half moon orange ones and they work just the same. But I recently found a pharmacy that has the 54 411 still.. :)

My pharmacy has carried them since the switched from the moon ones and I have had to wait for partial scripts or even whole scripts so they could order more so they aren't dicontinued. I have never got anything aside from the 54 411

As I previously stated, I was in the hospital (hospitalized for three days), due to a severely painful stomach condition. Yes, at the hospital they were giving my regular prescribed daily meds(8mg Subutex 3× a day, although I definitely do NOT take three a day, and my Klonopin 1mg 4× a day) as well as 2mg morpheine IV every 4 hours.... The Gastro surgeon did my procedure and found out I have gastritis, 3 ulcers, & inflammation of the pylorus. Although I am prescribed 8mg of Subs 3 times daily, I only take 4mg of my Subutex 2-3 times a day, so in total, that's about 1 &1/2 pills daily, to which I told the nurse to only give me halves. In closing, I was given the morpheine along with Zofran(for nausea) IV due to my severe amount of pain as well as the occasional vomiting associated with my stomach conditions. Who says if you're in legitimate pain you can't get narcotics along with SUBUTEX, not SUBOXONE?! Besides, if taking bupenorphine combined with a narcotic, you don't feel "high", but you do get the pain relief!! In my experience... Thank you :-)

In my opinion they are better than the white ones, I'm thinking because when you're taking the white ones on a regular basis you build a tolerance. I'm guessing these are a little different even they buprenorphine 8 mg. Also yes you use them the same way.

That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. No matter which one you have or even if it's suboxone or subutex it is still 8 MG of bupe!!! All of this one is stronger than the other is just retarded. 8mg is 8mg. If you think you feel different it's just you letting your brain play tricks on you. I know all this from YEARS of experience!!!

Forreal...

For one, don't put people down, or call them retarded! Now, on that note.. There may not be a difference in what they are supposed to do, but there is a huge difference in how they make you feel! Subutex vs Suboxone. I personally don't like the Suboxone, the naloxone crap makes me sick, as well makes others sick at times. Also, Subutex is straight up buprenorphine, it's easier for me to dose etc..also, Subutex to me lasts longer.. Remember, when having anything mixed with something else it can cause differences in how they work. Just because the next person has issues with Suboxone doesn't make them a liar..If you do fine on Suboxone..Great! Continue on!
