Omnacortil 10 Use

I brake out in hives everyday for the last 3 years if I take one pill (10mg ) and 1/4 it I don't brake out. Can I take this long term meaning years?

No, this isn't a medication that should be taken long-term, unless your doctor has specifically instructed you to do so.

Omnacortil contains the active ingredient Prednisolone, which is a steroid class medication and there can be some dangerous possible side effects associated with its use, such as congestive heart failure and compromised immunity.

u r not supposed to stop the medicine suddenly as it will worsen the condition, stop them by reducing the dose to 3/4th over a week, then 1/2 over next , then 1/4th slowly over a period of 1 or 2 mns . and to control hives u can take anti histamines instead .talk to ur doctor,steroids have lots of side effects like weight gain(too much),increase bp, increase blood sugar, osteoporosis n a lot . consult ur doctor immediately
