Omesar Drug Interaction With Nsaids
UpdatedMy mother is currently on 20mg of Omesar daily. She is suffering from rheumatoid arthritis and was successfully self managed on 300mgs of aspirin daily. Following a carotid enterectomy she was advised to stop taking aspirin and take paracetamol instead. This was not effective in controlling her painful symptoms and she started to take 400mgs of Ibuprofen daily, which she found effective. However her cardiologist told her she couldn't take this medication in conjunction with her present medication. I would like to know is there a specific reason it is contraindicated?
