One thing is for certain right off the bat, and that is there's no such thing as a 30mg Percocet tablet. The highest available dosage contains 10mg of Oxycodone + 325mg of Acetaminophen.

I also haven't come across any specific details on a pill with that description, which makes me a little suspicious as well seeing that they lied and said it was a 30mg Percocet. If I were you I would throw the pill away and just be done with it. However a lab analysis would probably be your best bet for identifying its true contents.

Does anyone else here recognize this pill as being something different?

Nature's Cure. It's basically collagen and biotin. For skin, nails and hair.

Ummm. You are incorrect Sir. Please refrain from submitting medical advise if you ate simply guessing.

A 30mg certainly exists and is BLUE; however this person has been taken. The pill described is a collagen and biotin pill manufactured by Nature's Cure.

Cheryl,

First things first, I'm not sure where you are getting your information from on Percocet, but several reputable site's (including Walgreens themselves who actually dispenses the medication) state that Percocet is only available in the following dosage forms:

2.5/325mg
5/325mg
7.5/325mg
10/325mg

Ref: Walgreen's drug catalog {link removed because it no longer works}

Secondly, I'd like to say thanks for taking a stab at identifying the pill. All I kindly ask is that you don't try to tell someone else off if you're unable to back up your own claims with documented proof, because it doesn't help your reputation either. I'd like to see you prove me wrong so I can humbly apologize. Good luck!

Cheryl, thank you for posting about the pill ID from Nature's cure. I just wanted to add that I think there may be some confusion going around re: a 30mg Percocet. Often drugs which are prone to abuse can be misidentified as they are getting passed around illegally. Percocet is a combinational drug as David said which contains both Oxycodone and Acetaminophen - so what people call a 30mg Percocet is most likely a straight dose of 30mg Oxycodone.

With that said, the 30mg blue pill which you are referring to is most likely Roxicodone, which is a brand containing Oxycodone as the only ingredient. It comes in a blue pill with the inscription 54 199 and is manufactured by Mallinckrodt (formerly Xanodyne).

Here is an image and product page from the manufacturer: http://www2.mallinckrodt.com/Templates/Pages/productdetail.aspx?id=2147483977

Thanks again and I hope this helps to clear things up!

Just to add to my post from earlier, there does in fact appear to be a number of other generic forms of Oxycodone which also come in blue pill. According to the NIH pillbox, markings range from M 30, to A215, V 4812, and more. So a 30mg Percocet may in fact be referring to generic Oxycodone, or a Roxicodone. HTH!

Thanks. So I went with the whole helping identify "is this an illegal obtained prescription pain pill" rather than being SPECIFIC to a brand versus generic. My bad. 8 years of medicine really should have kept me moving along. That pesky do no harm kicked in. My apologies and I hope you have a good day continuing to feel superior bc you can think you are right bc you know how to ask a real medical professional you know Walgreens. Com regarding addictive illegally obtained GENERIC pills. Bc yes that certaiby does make a huge difference.

^ brand name sarcasm.

My mother and brother were both taking a 30 mg. I.M. immediate release morphine tablet that had that on it. They have also taken the same medication with different numbers on it. Depends on the manufacturer. I used to work at a pharmaceutical company and there is no standard as to different companies using same numbers for generic drugs. The number is not only how the drug is identified but also who made it. Same products can different numbers. Call your local pharmacist and they should be able to tell you over the phone what it is with a description.

Thanks for your feedback Kathleen! I have always been under the impression that generics are required to be unique in their appearance between their color, shape, and inscriptions - so that even if two or more tablets have the same # on them, they are still required to either be different colors and/or shapes. Am I mistaken?

I suffer from chronic pain and actually get Roxicodone 30mg every month. So yes, a 30mg does exist.

Help! I just moved and upon weeding out the old from the new, I came across two white maybe off-white tablets that I cannot identify. They are a little on the large side, oval, with only two letters imprinted on it - NC. Can anyone help me identify this pill? I can take a picture...

Re: David (# 4) Expand Referenced Message

30mg Percocet exists, Walgreens doesn't like to sell them. My Dr in WA state prescribes them for me.

I'll try to make it short.First it makes me so mad that people say throw them away and be done with it, how stupid are people. If you've been taking opiates for awhile you can't just stop taking them.I wish everyone that says that could go through the suffering, the sickness , pain. I have chronic pain and I live with it daily. There are days I can't hardly walk. I'm looking for a Doctor that understands what pain is and can help me. I can't believe Doctors and Pharmacist are giving out fake meds . It's just ridiculous to stop helping people that need it to get through their day. I wouldn't wish my pain on anyone but people have to understand what people with chronic pain is living with. Thanks
