Nitro Fur Correct Medicaation ?

A culture and sensitivity of my urine was done and revealed..... STREP B in my urine !!!!??? As a preliminary, my doctor put me on MACROBID 100 mg X2 daily .......Reading various sites, this drug is NOT the best selection for STREP B ???? and also NOT receptive to Tetracycline........ My pills finish this Monday, 9/29 and I see the doctor on the 30th.....These pills cost $27 for 14 of them......Any knowledgeable persons out there to inform me, appreciated.

am 64F healthy apart from a UTI which is being treated.... My new question is as follows...been diagnosed with mild osteopenia, a step below full blown osteoporosis. My doctor wishes to put me INJECTIONS to slow down the progression of osteoporosis. I have read and read and read where there are CONTRAINDICATIONS as a result of taking these injections.....Teeth falling out, headaches al the time,vomiting,unbearable leg pains, etc, etc, & etc.......Any persons out there that have gone on these injections only to have stopped them and NOW WHAT ARE YOU TAKING IN PLAE OF THESE INJECTIONS. It is downright frightening learning of all these SIDE AFFECTS. Thankyou.

That is generally the preferred antibiotic for UTIs, it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

Strep B is actually considered harmless in most adults and will usually just clear up and go away on its own. The only major concern would be if you were pregnant or had some other health condition that may put you at risk. In the U.S. they don't even test for it, unless a woman is pregnant. It's really not considered something worth worrying about.

As to the injections, yes, all of those side effects are possible and many people have had to stop taking them. Some tried several different drugs, some people did not, but it is very common to experience adverse effects from them. Quite a few people just went back to taking extra calcium supplements and hoping for the best.

However, the only way to know how they will affect you is by actually trying them. You may be someone that doesn't have a problem with them, at all.
