Neuropill

I am having back pain for a long period of time . (Almost three years ) MRI shows that there is a very mild bulge. Now for the past 6 months i have having severe leg ache (Right ) at the ankles. I consulted the doctor and he gave me Neuropill. i am taking Dicloran along with it .Will this reduce my difficulties.

Product Description

Mechanism of Action
Gabapentin:
Gabapentin inhibits the central L-type calcium channels situated on the axon terminal and reduces the hyperactivated neurotransmitter release. Gabapentin relieves the severe pain associated with neuropathy.

Alpha lipoic acid:
Alpha lipoic acid inhibits the nerve damage caused by free radicals due to increased oxidative stress. ALA improves nerve blood flow and increases sensory conduction.

Methylcobalamin:
Methylcobalamin is the neurologically active form of vitamin B12, which increases Myelin sheath formation and regenerates neurons.

Indications
All peripheral neuropathy

Dosage
To initiate the therapy in new patients and especially for elderly and renal impaired,start with Neuropill 100, 1 tablet TID.(minimal dose of Gabapentin is required in elderly and renal impaired).
Patients who need Neuropill,should start with once daily preferably at bedtime and gradually increase to one tablet - BID or TID.
The effective dosage should be individualized according to patient response and tolerability.

ContraIndications
Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.

Pregnancy
There is no information regarding safety in pregancy or lactation.Drugs should be given only if the potential benefit outweighs the potential risk to the fetus.

Drug Interactions
Antacids will decrease the amount of gabapentin that is absorbed in the stomach. Alcohol may increase the risk of having side effects while taking gabapentin.Gabapentin may increase the effects of other drugs that cause drowsiness including antidepressants, antihistamines, sedatives, and anxiety medicines.

Adverse Effects
Neuropill (Gabapentin) may cause drownsiness,dizziness and somnolence.Adverse effects were typically mild to moderate and usually subsided within approximately 10 days from the initiation of treatment.

Packing
A Blister strip of 10 tablets.
One box contains 10 x 10 strips.

medicines will kill pain and that neuropill tab is good and u need exercises. u will be fit in 2 weeks if u get a good physiotherapist
