Long term Xanax use to treat and alleviate an assortment of symptoms that was one of the few medicines that worked for me now has me wired in bed with no life as I am expected to go off of this medicine that I used for so many things. I used it to help me sleep at night and now, I am no longer sleeping. My symptoms are getting worse with a pulsating headache. I am struggling to focus. I have cold clammy sweats. I am trying hard to take myself off of this medicine. I never used it to get high and never used more than my allowed dose and most days, I did not even use that dose, but I knew it was there if I needed it. I have spent two years making a State to State transition only to spend most of my two years in bed while Doctors keep playing around with my chemicals and I am becoming weak from the fight. I can no longer be the Mother or wife that I was and now see myself falling into a depressed state but trying to hang in there. I have never experienced such great difficulty trying to get off of a medicine in all of my life. Going off of Xanax is not a pretty place to be and I would not wish it on my worse enemy.

@Eddy I just wanted to update you and other people in this forum. I just recently had an appointment with a physician that I had seen about a year before in another Clinic. I returned to my previous clinic where that provider now works. Anyway. In the past,I had never had to sign a contract with this clinic, but this time I did to be able to get back on Xanax again. This is in WA state. I think people will see this more & more in the future. I don't have a problem signing a contract & being drug tested every month. I don't take anything that isn't prescribed to me & I often go off the Xanax and use herbals. One I have found to be very good. But, I am different and respond poorly to a whole list of meds as well as a lot of Herbals. Everyone has different imbalances.

I found your post(s) to be very informative Suzie and I believed you. I don't like to see this new rationing of Xanax. When you say Herbals are we speaking about Pot too now available in your State. I enjoy coverage under the California laws! What happens if you test positive for Weed?

@Eddy I probably should have clarified Herbals. No, I was not referring to Marijuana. Though it is legal here now, I'm not sure how physicians will deal with that if you do not have a Medical marijuana card.(which has been legal for many years & very easy to obtain.) Employers who drug test here still frown on the Pot situation even if you do have a legal medical card. I meant Herbals such as GABA,Holy Basil and a bunch of others are somewhat effective depending on the person & the severity of the Anxiety.Theanine serene with relora by Source Naturals is the one that works best for me. But, for whatever reason it is no longer effective. My anxiety attacks are out of control, I can't drive, shop or pretty much do anything by myself. If at sometime Employers accept POT as a medication I might try that, as it is herbal and really has positive results for many things. I have constantly researched info on every angle of these Anxiety attacks and continue to do so. I hope that One day...I will no longer have them. But for now I need my meds :)

I came from Tampa,Fl got hit while riding a bicycle near Busch Gardens....and I was already on Xanax for PTSD, depression, and agoraphobia...so in Fl yes the docs there prescribe MORE,no doubt about it,but in 2006 my accident happened and I barely got 6 grand...(I was a bicycle rider noinsurnce ...hence FL 's no fault law) I would never be provided medical care from the guy who hit me ever again.Shortly after I became a Medicaid recipient...then I had to Move to Billings Mt... and my nightmare sounds like yours!! I went through 2 years of so much pain I would think about the only relief would be to jump off a cliff..make sure i leave the kids a good amount with the insurance policy I have.. they took me from Xanax to klonopin to nothing.. well I tried buspar, celexa, herbal remediy of some srt cant remember... Well after 2 torturous years in a small town like that I got my self together and moved to CO, and thank God I did because I had been havin worsening headaches, and if I were in that small ltown the docs would have me categorized as a fLaddict and not listened to my complaints to do an mRI and find a cyst on my pituitary gland...the docs in CO did the MRI listened to me and didn t label me fL addict,, can you move? my life is so much better I get meds and now disability SSi medicare and Medicaid I get therapy for my back and adequate pain control ...if you can move..do you mind me asking what state you are in my guesss N.or S. Dakota, Wyoming, Idaho, Mt?

To Keyswhitedove. I'm not sure what you're on, or what you need? Florida is the land of drugs, and it is a horrible State. I do know of one Doctor in South Florida (the West side) who was my Doctor in California, and left about 6 years ago to practice in Florida where the laws were even more relaxed. Much has changed it seems, I don't know what you medically need or if you are very young, or look like a drug addict? I will give you the name of the Doctor but Florida is a long State, takes 12 hours driving from the bottom to the top as you know. Anyway the Doctor is Doctor Aldolpho Soto in the Napels area. He was a pill pusher, not a great Doctor, yet went right from High School into Medical School in Pureto Rico. He is smart but was creepy too!

To post # 65 member KWD everything you wrote is true, and Xanax can suck the life out of you. Not on the way in but during the weeing off process. Actually everything you mentioned is what brought me to an E. R. in near death condition. I have quite a lot of Xanax on hand these days, but a withdrawal if not done correctly can make us very sick. In my town in California, those with free public insurance just go to obtain scripts for controlled medicine usually resold from the local Hospital. These will be the same people who will get free Obama Care while most of us will have to pay thousands of dollars in premiums coming next year!

This has worked for me since 1979.
1. deliberately "befriend" a pharmacist in your area/
2. I prefer a Mom and Pops pharmacy
3. Do not come on too strong at your first meeting.
4. Once the pharmacist/(oven owner) trusts, you, he
has the natural info, which M.D's prescribe the most
"Xanax" to "Valium" to "Adderall" believe me!

Reference Post 74, I typed yesterday March 3rd, 2013,
I mean't to say to befriend, a old school at least middle aged, combination pharmacist, and "owner" of the independent pharmacy. This technique worked for me only twice, in the past 40 yrs, but, I was given a name, and, yep, it was as easy as 1.2.3., I walked in, first time, described, my anxiety issues, and, told my new M.D what has always worked before, how many I take, and for how long, The script was written, immediately. The first M.D. had a unusual spartan office, on the "poor side of town" in Jacksonville, Fla. He wrote me I think sixty ten mg Roche Valium with one refill. The office for 1979, was unusual, in that a large sign in the waiting room, stated, "if you came here for the following Schedule II drugs, you will not get this list of drugs here" The list was brief, but, included, most popular barbituates of the day, (Nembutal, Seconal, Tuinal, and Carbital Kapseals, and the non-barbituates, Quaalude, Parest, Sopor, and Somifac) The large print list also listed diet pills, that, would not be prescribed:
Desoxyn, Dexedrine, Benzedrine, Obetrol (now the name has changed to Adderall in 1993, and the Narcotics: Dilaudid, Percodan, Percocet, or any form of Morphine Sulfate). Terms were cash, no insurance was honored, and, the sparten office, run by a M.D of Asian extraction, I continued to see, for 3 years every 60 days, for, both my Valium Script, and, my pain med script, for Winthrop Talwin, both C-IV's.
The 2nd time this arose, many years later, further up the Middle Atlantic States, yet, in the "Bible Belt" on another city of approximately 500,000 people, I got a referral from a co-worker who liked me, who confided in me she had a 8 yr old Xanax addiction. After I gained her trust, she gave me the Psychiatriats name.
I proceeded to get "Xanax" from the 2nd visit, in 1992,
until, December of 1998, when this MD, moved out of state. "I have my own Xanax addiction by now, and, with the help of my spouse, and secretly, going to a 12 month outpatient, treatment facility, I eventually got off of the Xanax by 1997. This is a true story, I read "Driven to Distraction" and at year 7, had immense difficulty graduating from a local University. I showed my current Xanax M.D, my scholastic records, my DMV record of many speeding tickets, and transfers to 5 different colleges over 20 yrs, I ask for
Dexedrine Sulfate 5mg and the Dexedrine Spansule 15mg, and, he provided them for me, until he moved away 1 yr later, in 1999. Since that year, he transferred my records, to another Psychiatrist, in this same city, and I have been on C-II stimulants, from Ritalin I/R to Adderall I/R to Dexedrine Spansule 15 mg x 2 per day, the past, 13 yrs, now from this aging Shrink.
About two yrs ago, he got a visit from the DEA, from the pharmacy police, when a overzealous, young pharmacist, from a national chain, was presented with a script for Adderall, that was post dated, meaning, the script, was written one month in advance of the current date, as, this M.D did the same for me, I'd get one C-II script for Dexedrine x 60 say for March 2013, and another for April of 2013, and was told, the Doc was trying to save me a consult visit, ($90.00 for 15 minutes) and to never get my dates mixed up. Well sure enough, when I heard of this crisis, the DEA, did not revoke his license, but, my Doc will never write advance scripts again, regardless, of the schedule. He also posted on the wall, last yr, if he detected from PMP program (pharmacy prescription program now in 40 states) that his patient was seeing another M.D to double dip, and get the same med, the patient would be immediately dismissed. I had to sign no contract, and he has a very busy office, with only one medical secretary. From job firings to a Divorce 5 yrs ago, I did request, some Valium, and all he would do, would write me 60 tabs of Ambien (Zolpidem) for the past 5 yrs. He has a negative attitude for any patient of his, (like me) taking uppers, and downers, and, told me the discussion was over, about my getting a true benzo. I fear doctor shopping, because, my state, records every cash and insurance script, from every Mom & Pop's, as well as any chain pharmacy, and I fear getting dismissed. In spite of my prior secret Valium/Xanax addiction, from 1979 until 1996, I still crave, a good benzo, to take the edge off of the stress, as I approach retirement, but, M.D's are under unrentless scruntity now about, writing controlled meds.
I have a childhood friend, who is addicted to Percocet, that started with bladder cancer, that was successfully removed, and, he goes to South Florida, since the OxyContin Express, was exposed, and he has to pay $200.00 cash, for a 15 minute office visit,
for exactly 112 hydrocodone's 10/325's generics, and, 60 one mg. generic Clonazepam, with the new Florida law, plus had to supply a CD of his latest MRI, and prescription history, from, the VA, in my state. He told me very, few M.D's in Dade or Broward, or Palm Beach county, will, prescribe any Schedule II med now. Plus, he is a nervous wreck, that the Veterans Administration, will get on to his movements. The VA cut him off of both percocet 10/325's, and, Xanax 1 mg, and prior to that, was subject to unannounced urine tests. Most Fla M.D's that are left, require a Fla drivers license, and, or, utility bill, and, a Fla address and Fla phone number now. Since the Ryan Hyatt Act of 2008, I feel the USA has been set back 20 years, for the average pain management patient, or anxiety patient. My understanding is that many M.D's are just too busy to run constant PMP 40 state tests, and, or urine screens, in their busy offices. (Heresay). With the No records Prescription Pharmacies out of business, within the USA, the counterfeiters, are having a heyday, with marketing IOP meds in my true belief, that, the vast majority are counterfeit, or grossly, watered down. The only states to not participate in the PMP program, are all very rural states, scattered, all over the USA, without large cities, "just not worth it" anymore, to scramble to find any old school M.D's who
understand, a patients, pain or neurological needs for any C-II med. Just my 2 cents worth.

Keyswhitedove is now Kwd. Same person! After my Doctor watched me struggle for two months to wean off of my much needed Xanax that one of the Nation's Nationally recognized Psychiatrists advised my Neurologist to put me on nearly a decade ago and my fresh out School Medical Doctor has not been successful taking me off of this medicine and has not only watched me struggle, but has also witnessed the onslaught of many symptoms that I use it for come back, she has told me to stay on it and she will writ a script. I use this for so many symptoms from anxiety and panic to social phobia to my feet and legs hurting due to an "unknown variant" of a debilitating rare form of Charcot Marie tooth to helping me sleep and the list continues. My Doctor is my only primary and although, I have asked many Doctors to please take me as a patient, each one of them say no because I am a chronic pain patient. I wrote a few long vents on here because I was desperate and seen other people out there in my situation. She told me to stay on it and that she would write me a new script, but it took a convulsion (which I have never had before in my life) for this Doctor to possibly scare herself and decide to keep me on the medicine. I will say that I feel very weak and don't have much of a fight left in me. I can only say that it took years to find the right medicine that would work for me and then I was on it for nearly a decade. When attempting to off of it, my symptoms started coming back worse than ever. She did this to me two months in a row and I feel weak and need a long serious break before she decides to conduct anymore experiences and observations. My two year Medical transfer from Florida to Missouri i and has been difficult enough. It has take a wife away, a Mother away and the person that everyone knows away as I battle for my life and they keep me so sick that I truly know what it means when someone says that they are sick and tired of being sick and tired. Before I move here, I had a life. I was a missionary and worked in the Church with children. I have always been disabled, but that does not mean that one can not live a life. I had a fun and happy life and am now sad and depressed reaching out online for help because there isn't any where I am at and no one believes anything about me because I came from Florida. Not everyone coming out of Florida is a drug addict. Some people may actually need these meds to sustain and live a quality life. They have taken away my life and maybe it is just my chemicals right now, but they have messed around with them one to many times. I have not felt right since my convulsion. It was as if I got zapped with lightening from the top of my head and made my body move and jump sporadically all over the bed. After that I came down with the flu. I have not been able to think and write the way that I normally can and just because these words are here really does not mean much knowing that I my end, I have had to go over and over each word. Truth is? I don't think I am doing so well. The last person with my condition committed suicide at the mental health center. My Doctor told me to go there! They don't want me there and said that I am to sick and that I need a Medical Doctor. They will not give me my much needed Xanax. I looked at my charts and have been on the same dose since 2005!!! My Doctor being just out of Medical School swears I am an addict when all of my long-term records she did not want to get or have which I just recently found out because she not only did not believe me or anything that comes out of Florida! I have all of my records sitting here that I bought and obtained myself. I have a long life of chronic illness and pain. How can she possibly take on one of our Nation's leading Psychiatrist? You asked how I'm doing and you got another long vent as I struggle to once again stabilize my chemicals and hope that she stops doing this. Are there any Medical Doctor's in West Plains, Missouri who will treat a patient that has a life long history of medical problems and needs a few medicines to keep her functioning? I feel like I am a nice person, but I have not even been given the chance here since day one and my family is here. Knowing that I was declining in health made me want to be closer to my family. I bought land here and have a home here and have no intentions to leave and I WILL and DO NEED long term Medical Care most likely all of my life. I only take 3 mg of Xanax total since I first was put on it and that is what I am allowed. Some days I don't take that. I just want to live and have been in a battle for my life since I got here. HELP!!! I am running on empty. Dear God, I pray for Medical help in West Plains and to be understood because as it stands, I have lost my life and have not even been able to be a Mother and I was the Mom that did it all and yes, I did it all on Xanax, but I can't function and be a Mom when tossed around from Doctor to Doctor to prove that I do indeed have the things that I say is wrong with me that are already documented. I need a Medical Doctor who is going to believe me as I have no reason to lie and just want to live, but if my life is going to be what it has become, then I question why I even keep trying so hard to put my foot forward another inch only to have a Stop sign thrown in front of it. I am very, Very SAD and I need an experienced M. D., or neurologist in West Plains, Missouri.

Now that I see apparently where you live, is it West Plains, MO? That looks like a very small town.
I am 63 yrs old, and, since, around the late 1970's, to
the early 1980's, any M.D. who continues to keep their patient, on any benzodiazepine, such, as Valium, or Xanax, meaning longer than 12 to 16 weeks, this has become the domain in all of the USA for Psychiatrists.
I am no M.D., but just a former twice addicted patient, to Valium, (9 yrs of use) then had to get 42 days hospitalization, "in-patient" to detox, in 1982, only
to have a slip, 12 yrs later, and, got dependant on Xanax, over a two year period, and, this time, went to a outpatient once a week 90 minute clinic, mostly for moral support, to taper down, slowly, from 6 mg a day to zero use, of Xanax, which took me 10 months to do this. Without a Registered Nurse, as my wife, on my 2nd slip, I don't know if I had the strength to taper down or not, as my marriage was on the line, over my Xanax dependency. I obtained all of my meds, from 1994, until this very day, from a M.D. with the title of a
Psychiatrist. (with the exception, of my Dermatologist, who does not prescribe me controlled DEA meds).
It appears to me a more practical solution, from where you live, would be to use your telephone, and set up several appointments, either, in the city of Springfield, or, the city of St. Louis MO, which, should have a choice of Psychiatrists. In one way, you are fortunate, did you know that MISSOURI is the only state left in the USA, without a active Prescription Monitoring Program? About 42 states are in full operation, and, the 49th state to pass legislation for this exchange of medical information law was New Hampshire. It takes about 2 yrs for each state to have the data base set up. "Therefore perhaps, it might not be necessary, to flaunt your Florida background, as you describe, in my interpretation, that, in the Midwest,
folks of all ages from "Florida" are considered addicts, due to all of the big time national publicity, about all of the former "pill mills" that existed, down there, (but no more). Florida has a active PMP data base that is loaded and reloaded every 14 days, and, it only takes two minutes, to check on any USA individual's prescription background, in already, most, of all of the USA, except, 3 to 5 states, that may, or may not have had time to implement/activate their PMP program.
In my humble opinion, I have experienced one major grand mal seizure from benzo withdrawal, and I shall never forget that, and I was a younger male then. It is awful, withdrawing, especially, too quick, too soon, without medical supervision, and, or anti-seizure meds, and, sometimes, "softer benzo's" to minimize the patient physical & psychological pain. I am not advocating "Doctor shopping" I am advocating the calculated risk, that the first Psychiatrist you interview, may not be on the same page as you, thus, after such a long drive, to Springfield, or St. Louis, one needs a back up plan. It usually takes several weeks
minimum" or longer, to set up a "intake interview" with a Psychiatrist. The average charge for the first visit, nationally, is around $250.00, and, you may, or may not get a prescription, and, a follow-up visit, if Xanax is obtained, will be down the road, in one of those larger urban centers. As a 23 yr old kid, things were very different, in the USA, as I am from the foothills of the
Applachian Mountains, and, 40 yrs ago,I could walk in to any family M.D.'s office, and obtain, any tranquilizer, or sleeping pill I ever wanted. Those days have been over, for at least 25 to as much as 30 years.................

My nightmare is over and want to Thank everyone who has given insights, warnings and all of the useful information that I have obtained and having people who understand my situation to vent to. I suppose I am one of the lucky ones with my Doctor seeing that I need to stay on the much needed medicine that is used for a host of neurological symptoms. West Plains is a small town and my transition took a long time. I had to take test that I already had and there is a shortage of Doctors and the demand is great in West Plains, Missouri for more Doctors if any Doctors might be reading this and need a place to set up a practice. West Plains caters to most of the Ozark region. I will not need to drive to Springfield or Saint Louis for a Psychiatrist and I finally won the trust of my Doctor. I have done my research and they are saying that some of the older patients who have been treated with Xanax for years and for me nearly a decade that these patients need to stay on this old school benzo. I will attest that even after close to a decade that it still works and treats my symptoms. I am not curable, but treatable and when I was being bounced up and down with chemical shifts and my first convulsion that scared me, I got desperate and reached out in many directions. I was born sick and have been sick all of my life and found that if trusted by my Doctor that I only need a few meds to keep me functioning. I am not an addict or someone who sells their pills and found it so frustrating that I had to prove that I was sick. I asked people in the Medical field that have known me most of my life to back me up with letters and was successful in doing so. I will be Okay now unless for some reason in the future my Doctor decides to take me off of this benzo that I have used for years. I had to learn the hard way that you don't tell Doctors that you came from Florida because they have a red flag that goes up just by the name of the State itself. I have never been in pain clinics or "pill mills" and had high end Doctors and excellent medical care and each test that I take in West Plains only verifies the accuracy of the test that I had in Florida. Sssssh! Don't say that word! If anyone attempts to take me off of this medicine again then I will demand that it be done in the hospital under closely guarded supervision. Taking this benzo for nearly a decade and then attempting to go off of it can be very dangerous. I will say that when I weaned down to a certain level before my convulsion that I was experiencing the same symptoms coming back that put me on this medicine to begin with. One of our Nations highly recognized Psychs suggested to my Neuro that I be placed on this medicine. I personally have always found it helpful in treating my symptoms and it is one medicine that I choose to stay on as long as it is available to me. I do not respond to meds the way the average person does because of the makeup of my brain chemistry and it took years to find the right medicine that would work to help me with a disabling and painful condition. NEVER to to go off of this medicine by yourself and be careful when Doctors assume that you can just go off of it easily. Remember that others were put on this medicine when it was the top medicine to use and I used it long term and you are not alone if you suffer from this battle. With DEA cutbacks and Doctors running to scared to treat their patients, we have run in to a Nationwide crisis and I am afraid that we will see many deaths from the silent sufferers who have no means of getting help whether it is to stay on the medicine or go off of it. My prayers are with all of us. Hang in there and don't give up on your fight! It took me two years due to overbooked Doctors and coming from a State with a reputation to scare any Doctor, but Doctors please remember that not every patient that comes out of the State of Florida is an addict. I came from a Doctor who kept excellent Medical records. Because it is so hard to find medicines that work for me due to my unique chemistry, I very much do want to stay on this medicine as long as I can possibly obtain it and any Doctor that has a DEA license can write for it and depending on what the medicine is used for one does not necessarily need to obtain it from a Psychiatrist. My care, support and love goes out to all of you who are suffering.

Hi Sarah.
I have also just moved to New York and need to find a doctor who will prescribe me xanax and adderall. I have been takin this combination at the smae level for 12-15 years, for a serious nerve condition, and need to continue... but need a doctor who is in New York.
I thought, perhaps, that by now you might have found one who works well with you and hopefully would with me, as well.
If you finda moment, please email me privately, and
Thank You! TCH

Hello to you! You may have kept with my post or may not have, but wanted to let you know that with the back up of a Psychologist whom has known me for years and my Dad being a Psychiatrist who did ask my Neurologist to put me on Xanax for treatment nearly a decade ago that I am now being treated by my primary care physician. I am aware of the upgrades in all of the States and it has taken two years for me to make a medical transition from Florida to Missouri. I did receive my Xanax from the pain clinic until the DEA said that pain clinics can no longer prescribe Xanax for pain treatment. I only take two to three mg/day and sometimes not even that. It helps me to stay relaxed due to a multitude of Mus-co-skeletal, auto-immune and a life long neurological disorders. I also suffer from long term emotional and anxiety/panic attacks all which are substantiated in my long history of Medical records. I was told by several people within the Medical Community of rural America that my mistake was saying that I came out of Florida. It is just primarily based on the mind-set of people with the closing down of pill mills and such. There are not even any pill mills in the area that I came out of, but it is what people assume and think. When one say's "Florida" people automatically just assume Miami and pills mills. That is the way the thinking is in this part of our Country. I take 2mg at night to help my body wind down to sleep and the other mg is either split in half for a panic attack or to take when I am keyed up or need to relax my muscles. My long term medical issues that I have lived with most of my life feed off of each other and I need to be very careful as any kind of chemical change or humidity or pressure drop and so on will trigger a response setting me off in to a flare up and sleep is the most important thing for me and keeping my body and mind relaxed as possible is important. My Dad was a Neurologist before a Psychiatrist and knew me very well and knew what medicine would be the most beneficial for me. I have never abused it and my dosage has been the same for years. I want you to know that I did and do appreciate your reply. I wrote long vents out of desperation never realizing how difficult it would be to obtain this most important medicine in this part of the Country. I was also not stable due to the up and down chemical shifts with my young Doctor ripe out of Med School experimenting on ways to take me off of it. I found my symptoms only getting worse and had a full blown panic attack when my level was brought down only proving the need of this medicine that helps me. I truly feel bad for all of are suffering and have a difficult time obtaining this old school benzo, but for some who have taken it for years and if it works then why change something that is still working? I am totally against people who are seeking it for drug abuse and it is those people who have made it difficult for the people who need it and other meds in order to keep their bodies functioning. Shame on you and you know who you are!!!! I would give anything to be "well" and not live in a sick body. I am a 48 year old female who has lived her entire life being sick and I have been forced to live a great deal of my life on medication. My mind is young and my body is sick and I do things sometimes as if I am younger only winding up in messes buying things that I am to sick to enjoy or getting a puppy that I am sometimes to sick to care for, but she does make me smile and I do feel that with Spring and Summer that I can make it through the training, but I can only make it with a few medicines that I need to take to keep my body working otherwise, I am forced to be in bed due to a body that will not work properly without the meds! If anyone has suggestions on how someone like me having a host of complicated medical disorders can successfully live without the aid of chemicals that I have had to take all of my life then please let me know! I do not want to be on forums looking for meds and not being stable. Luckily, I am now since I do have my meds, but would love to live a life without them. Some people just might have to take meds, but what I hate is the fact that so many people assume that since you are taking controlled substances that makes you an addict which in turn only creates an emotional roller coaster when these people only see you periodically, but your family knows otherwise and people who are close know otherwise. It is sad when I have had to watch so many people that I personally know have to struggle for much needed medication in a World where controlled substances have a meaning of drug abuse in our Country when so many of us are not taking them to abuse them, but taking them out of true medical need. I was thinking about setting up my own forum on Facebook because I feel that in these desperate times that many baby boomers who have been treated for years with meds that are increasingly becoming harder to obtain will need a place where they can go to and support one another. I know first hand what so many suffer with and many suffer silently while others are not afraid to step out and say, hey, this is not right and many boomers are sick and will need Medical care in a Country that is rapidly falling apart. People always have and always will need Medical Care and one should not be considered an addict unless they are seeking these meds to abuse or take more than what they should. I am emotional about this subject and clearly outspoken as I hurt inside watching so many suffer when they should not have to. For those who read this and if you suffer just know that even though you feel alone that you are not and I do hope that the DEA sets up some type of program to allow Doctors treat their patients without the fear of loosing the license because of the feed back that they receive from the DEA. There are many good Doctors who are frustrated with not being able to take care of their patients the way they would like. As the DEA combats the war on drugs, they are often forgetting the people who are truly sick. Screen the Doctors! Screen the patients but please do not stop treating people who suffer with medical issues that they did not ask for. Find a middle ground. To many ill people are dying over this and if their not dying physically, then they are emotionally and I won't even get in to my thoughts about the mental health crisis in America? What happened with the care for our mentally ill? We are turning in to a third world country due to poor decisions when it could be so simple. President Obama and the Drug Enforcement Agency and people in the Medical field? Where are you? I do hope you read this and take action. God (my personal belief) put Medical Doctors and Medicine here to treat us and your WAR is hurting the sick and many are laying around wounded. How many of you would be interested in an online Facebook magazine where we can talk about such matters and support one another? If I see enough interest, then I may start one and I know so many on Facebook that suffer silently and maybe they could be helped just by reading words from the more out spoken. Let me know if your interested. Any of you, but drug addicts, I do ask that you refrain from interest as this is for the people who are truly medically ill.
