Please give me a list of doctors that will prescribe me xanax? I have bad anxiety.

henry, can you help me ? - I just need to be bakc on my regular dosage, and due to a divorce, I had to leave my dr thats been treating me for 3 years or more, continuously on the same dosage of xanax. It has always helped, I dont abuse it, and I never have withdrawls from it when i dont have it... and Ive been without it for weeks now bc of the new dr and his decision that ativan is the way to go. Ativan does NOT work for me, it never has. My family has a long history of panic disorder and they are all on xanax and celexa. but I cannot afford the 385.00 consultation at this point bc of the divorce. {edited for privacy}

Vixie post #107 I had a thought being in the medical field nursing for so long, can you remember any docs that you worked with? that maybe you can talk to maybe get a reference? there is a legitimate eclinic you do have to see the dr. face 2 face it is cash only butthis service will make the appointment for you well locate he closest doc. I used this service for a year before I got insurance. I as soblessed cux th doc I had referred me to a clinic that she oversees/owns/manages something like that.do call ask uestions I do know the most they write is for lortab 10 and Xanax (I've heard not 100%)

Kelly- dr. Virmani , he switched me off of something that's worked for 3 years ( I moved from va to ny due to divorce) celexa/ 1mg Xanax to Effexor ,5 mg Ativan . Totally doesn't help. I did call dr to let him know the Ativan was not helping and actually making me just sleep, while Xanax I was able to be awake and not have attacks. However, he sees this as a 1 time thing. I would like my regular script I've had for 3 years.

Hi, i;m in the Glastonbury, CT 06033 area. I haven't been on benzos in a long time, but due to certain changes in my life, i defenitly need them again. The catch here is that is come with a bucket load of other crap meds. wellbutrin, lamictal, lisinopril. I do not want my records transferred from anywhere to anywhre, i blieve this is a right. Also, I'll pay cash if a good doc will help me out ;)

Does Dr. Kafar take insurance? what type of dr is she? I have severe panic attacks after i gave birth, domestic violence from my husband, then he left us with no way to provide. Its bad enough that I am not functioning too well. My one doc had me on 1 mg 3 x's a day then i moved back home to NY and the dr immediately asked "how does it work for you?" - I told him with the celexa and xanax Ive been doing well. This dr completely swwitches it to .5 mg ativan 2 times a day. It does NOT help. And he changed the celexa!!

I am a retired RN who worked in mental health for years. I even managed a chemical dependency unit. I am in my 60's now and retired. I am disabled physically. Spinal problems, from lifting all those patients and a prior car accident, Fibro, and generalized anxiety and PTSD from what life has dealt. I am broke and uninsured now. I live in TN, with an alcholic husband who has Tourettes, and is nuts and is opiod dependent. I have no where else to go. Get this, my PHP whom I can see only twice a year due to limited resources will give me NOTHING...so i have saved up to see an MD or psychiatrist. My prior doc gave me Ativan 2mg a day for years when i was still working. I hate the new doctors. They make me sick. Some folks need meds to function. Also the miss and mr. know it alls make me sick too. Some folks need meds to function. I hurt and shake everyday. If anyone knows a good shrink or doc in Memphis. Email me. I was always and still am a patient advocate and against drug abuse. Like I said, some people actually need medication. I have gone without it for two years. I seldom leave the house. God Bless those like me..

does any1 know a doctor that will perscribe me xanax in philadelphia my doctor used to give it too me and recently retired and my new doc wants me off of them and put me on newer meds he does not like xanax treatment and i think they work just fine he basicly beleives there old school i was perscribed2mg bars. i do not want any meds that will take days or weeks to work and will alter my mind for longer periods of time.

You are ignorant to the process of a "benzo." They are physically and psychologically addictive over a period of time. Just an FYI... I am not being disrespectful by saying ignorant; I simply mean you don't know or understand the process. That is evident.

To Whom It May Concern:
I have been taking various benzo's (Librium, Valium,
Xanax. Klonopin) all the way back to 1971. In the 1970's ...believe me it was easy for any M.D (family doctor) to prescribe the above. Things changed since the 1970's, I abstained for 10 years. By 1990, every "General Practitioner" I found from Phoenix to Charlotte NC, might give you a small quanity of Valium, or Xanax, but, every one referred me out to either a Psychiatrist, or a Psychologist or MSW, the latter two cannot write a script. Thus, I have been giving my money to Psychiatrists, ever since the year 1992, and I am now 63 years old. I have never been turned down for a minor tranquilizer, from a Psychiatrist, but, I do not always get what I want on the first visit. My advise, is do not be overly anxious for a target specific drug, let the Psychiatrist, try his choice of meds first, and, in my case, I always got what wanted, in terms of a benzo, in due time. Caution: Most will string you along for repeat business...sorry, that is just the way it is. I used to get 100 Valium 10 mg at a time, or 2mg Zannie bars x90 tabs with 4 refills, but, that has not happened since the mid-1990's. Finally, do your homework, before you have your first "Psychiatric intake" of usually 50 minutes, be very, very familiar, with the symptoms, of such things as "Panic Disorder, with, or without Agoraphobia, if Xanax is what you want. Forget the fancy jargon, it may raise a red flag, just be yourself.
If you are asked specifically why do you insist on a certain med, (like Xanax) sometimes a red flag is raised to the M.D, explain a older family member once had some and you tried it and it worked like a miracle,
family member, like a Mother, or sister. Good Luck......
If you are on a budget, go to the local library, and read up on books on medicines, such as the PDR, or go to the medical section, of the library, and read about the uses of the benzodiazepines. And don't forget, if asked if you drink, you do not drink!!!
