Please give me a list of doctors that will prescribe me xanax? I have bad anxiety.

I suffer from extreme panic attacks, my insurance will start in May. I can pay to see a doctor this month. I use 1mg Qid.

Don't tell the Doctor 'you use 1 mg QID'. Even when your insurance kicks in I would imagine you will have to meet a deductible before any services are paid.

I know this post is old and I sincerely hope you found what you needed, Krista. If you only need them for a short amount of time, a regular primary care physician should be able to help you... That said, if you are looking for something more long term than you'll need to go to a psychiatrist. Good Luck!

It does REALLY suck that so many people abuse this medication and make it so difficult for those of us who really need it and can't function without it to get it now. I'm looking for a new psychiatrist in Miami, FL and I know how difficult it is (if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know).

I can't take Klonopin (which is seems like a lot of doctors will prescribe more freely for some reason) because it actually gives me more anxiety (which is one of its listed side effects) but even after explaining that to a psychiatrist I was trying out, they wanted to switch me to Klonopin and wrote me a prescription for that and also for a few xanax for any panic attacks - but because the Klonopin gave me more panic attacks than I have without any medication, that only made things worse.

I'm almost 40 and was first diagnosed with an anxiety disorder, panic attacks etc when I was 6 years old (they thought it was asthma for about a year beforehand). I've been prescribed Xanax since I was 14 years old and started taking it everyday after I was attacked and raped and had so much anxiety etc that I had to leave my (very good) job because I would have panic attacks on the subway and just at random times would start hysterically crying in my office. I moved to Miami from NYC where I was able to get xanax prescriptions very easily and I've been still with my doctor from NYC since then just because of the bad experiences I've had with the doctors in Miami, but it would be great to find someone as understanding as my current doctor locally. Honestly, I don't even understand why anyone would want to take any of these medications recreationally, when you take too many to feel high, they only either make you act really stupid or just put you to sleep (which doesn't sound like a fun time to me). And if they make you feel better, then you have an anxiety issue and need to deal with it in the proper ways.

Mina, the best decision i ever made was leaving Florida. About 10 years ago hundreds of Pain Clinics opened in Florida strip malls and sold any narcotics or controlled drug you want. It spread to much of the South. Now all the pain stores have closed and took their pills with them. If you need these medicines I suggest you move out of the South.

I'm very excited to get help and start my life. I no longer wanna have to spend over 30 to 40 every day when the euphoria only lasted 4 hours, then I was back to searching again. Please be willing to help me. I'm tired of chasing the high.

Obvious drug seeker! "They robbed us and took everything even the toilet paper". Then what really pissed me off she now says "my twins died" half a dozen times and IMMEDIATELY after says oh and by the way I also take Adderall for my add. WTF, I love my drugs as much as the next person but don't be so stupid and obvious. It's no wonder you can't get prescribed s***. Be smart about it. I know if I was a doc I would be thinking exactly what I'm saying now. It really truly sucks that your twins passed away but that isn't in its self reason to give you drugs and the doctors will see it the same way. That doesn't entitle you to a plethora of drugs in their eyes. It's based on your diagnosis not your life events, terrible s*** happens to everyone every single day and what happened to your twins is a terrible tragedy, but if you want to feel high then by all means do so, just don't expect a doc to give you anything for that. Get real dude, if your in that much pain you would have found a way to kill it. Your just way to obvious, get it right and you might have a chance to find a sympathetic doctor. Tough love is all this is. I want you to feel better but realistically don't expect a doctor to risk his license putting you on the specific cocktail of drugs that YOU want. It will never happen.

Do you know why they do that? They want a smooth functioning unit with no one getting upset or hysterical or angry. They want everyone sleeping at night. If patients are up at night being disruptive the nurses call the doctor if he wasn't smart enough to leave a pen sleep medication for everyone. Any agitation panic attacks or fighting on the unit disrupts the routine and messes with the doctors' schedules. So everyone has a pen ativan, xanax, or klonopin lol.

But once you leave the hospital forget it lol. You are someone else's problem now. (My problem unfortunately since I am the outpatient shrink that gets all these patients suddenly cut off of their scheduled meds with the advice ",talk to your outpatient psychiatrist about it" lol)

That is so true. I don't know a lot of primary care doctors who will prescribe any scheduled meds for new patients here in my southern red state. It has been a rather dramatic shift over the last five years. Now since I have the biggest psychiatric practice in my six county catchment area I am the benzodiazepine and adderall outlier with 300 and 30 patients respectively in a catchment area of around 60,000 plus. That makes me the top xanax prescriber here most likely. That is how paranoid everyone has become lol. Me the local pill mill. The outlier on adderall with thirty patients lol

I wish I could post a picture here of my former M.D., moved to Florida to become the Adderal king. He was arrested for writing fake prescriptions. Why risk your License over this type of practice,

I need help finding a new psychiatrist in or near Tarboro, NC. My regular one quit his practice and moved toward the beach area. It had taken 4yrs with him to get my meds right. I am running out and already am having severe anxiety and panic attacks. I am bipolar and suffer from severe ptsd. I take lamictal, paxil, xanax 2mg, dialantin for my seizure disorder. I also have to take 300mg of trazadone and 800mg of serequel just to be able to sleep. I just got approved for my disability and Medicaid. If anyone can assist me finding a doctor that will keep me on the same meds I would very much appreciate it.

I lost my doc ive taken alprazolam for 17 yrs like u nerve damage ptsd ..i am going to run out.that makes more nervous.drs dont taper.and nothing else helps. Because of the opiod problem these abusers are hurting those that dont abuse them.i kno i can die from wdrawals but drs dont kno orCare.im about to go thru hell.

My pain doc for 4 years suddenly wrote me scripts for 30 Percocet 10/325 from 90 3X a day and 30 Diazepam 5mg from 90.

I had a crisis over Memorial Day weekend and could not get out of my hospital bed I purchased in my home. Saw him Tuesday and the PA had him sign 60 new scripts plus toridol shots. I've had 3 back surgeries. Asked to see doc who reluctantly came in and started berating me "You want me to go to f***ng jail 4 u?? Get the F...out of my office!

Not writing scripts for u anymore! Asked him palpate my back and admitted terrible spasms. This is same doc who wanted to start me on liquid morphine which I didn't want to do! I also get .5mg Xanax PRN and nobody wants to fill it. Asked pharmacist are you licensed? Yes. Is this a valid script? Yes. Have I gotten filled here for 8 years? Yes. Is this a valid drivers license? Yes. Then what is the problem? "I don't feel comfortable filling it!" WTF? I can give u name of doc on Long Island. Have to get the name. By Monday I will post it.

I am a dialysis patient with very bad anxiety attacks. I am supposed to get a kidney transplant but they will not do it until my my panic attacks are under control. I was on 1mg xanax for about 9 months and they worked very well. Then my doctor decided I need to figure out something else to control my accute anxiety. They prescribed me some psychotropic drugs that I had a very bad reaction too. I am not willing to try anymore when I know what works. I have a small window of opportunity to get my anxiety under control so I can get my transplant. I need help desperately.

I was sexually assaulted about a month ago. I suffer from major anxiety, panic attacks and flashbacks. I went to the er and they have me 1mg xanax. It worked so well. My anxiety went done quite a bit, panic attacks weren't as often. I just need to find a doctor to help me. I start therapy in 2 weeks but I work 2 serving jobs and have panic attacks there daily because of the stress. Please help me.
