ashley he needs lots of water. if you only give him fiber and not enough water it sets up like concrete in your gut and not only can you not poop but when you do it is very painful, because theres not enough moisture and the poop is dry and hard.poor little guy. there are also glycerine suppositories for children, give him warm prune juice. if he doesnt like the prune juice mix it with apple juice, and i mean real juice. and lots of it. it has to be warm. no cheese this is very constipating. just a few tips hope it helps

ashley yes you need to refrigerate the juice but when you give it to him heat in the microwave to warm it up like for hot chocolate, or baby bottle warm. the salads and fresh fruits are great, raisins, dates, cranberry raisins, apple sauce, oatmeal as long as its thin and thick, also a couple of tsp of molasses in juice or added to the oatmeal has always been an old remedy.hope this helps and yes the nuts in the snickers are fiber but its no really the best choice

Please do not give your child any more Miralax! It is toxic to children and teens, read about it! Use prune juice and applesauce instead! Miralax is plastic, mineral oil and anti freeze! It's pharmaceutical name is polyethylene glycol! I stopped taking it after three years and now I just take a stool softener gel cap three times a day and that works. By the way, I'm 57 and am taking several medications for health issues. Please don't give it to your child anymore, I have read horror stories about it that are irreversible. I hope for the best for you and your child!
