Morphine Sulfate 30 Mg Roxane

My insurance change thus my pm doc changed. He switched me from 100mg er morphine 3xday with 4 10/325 percocet daily and 2 350mg soma to up to 3 30mg ir morphine 4x daily only for pain. No breakthrough med and no muscle relaxer. Am I going to stiffer major wd?or is this captains with what I was taking? Been on for 5 years to build up to this amount, two failed back surgeries, constant pain and spasms, with some foot surgeries and other pain issues. Any advise will help I'm terrified of the wd my body is dependant plus need to be able to function, move around and take care of "life" as it happens

How are you doing?

That is definitely a lowering of your dosage, so you may experience some withdrawal symptoms, which the FDA lists as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, rebound pain, anxiety and diarrhea.

Does anyone have any advice or ideas to offer that may help?

Thank you for your reply I have not receive much of a response on here. I have been in terrible pain since the medication change. Which is one of the side effects that is listed and I'm hoping it will subside soon. I have an appointment coming up on the 8th of August any suggestions on how to approach or what to say to my doctor? I don't want to come across as a drug addict or a drug seeker or even a troublemaker. But this is horrible I cannot live my life in pain and unable to do anything.

I was passing through and saw this. Tell him that--that you have been in terrible pain and how that pain affects your life: eating, sleeping, socially, ability to bathe, write letters, sit in a chair--you know, all the stuff regular people just do without much thinking. Also that is the data used by docs anyway to figure out where you are. If he's not giving you questionnaires you gotta start yakking. Write a cue card for yourself for when you go in.
