Metocard Xl 50 Vs Prolomet Am 5 Plus 50
UpdatedHi, my dad got his angioplasty done 2.5 months back with 2 stents. He is diabetic, has high blood pressure and operated for add closure in 1976. He was taking ramcor h and amlosafe 5 before the angioplasty. Post angioplasty his blood pressure medicine was changed to olmat 20 mg one at night and prolomet am 5/50 in the morning. His no was still high so the dosage was increased to Olmat 40 mg. But with this increased dosage he has to wake up for urinating several times at night. Also he has started getting swelling on feet. Dr said swelling is because of amlodopine in prolomet am. I spoke to the Dr and asked him to change the combination for blood pressure. Now he has recommended metocard xl 50 morning and valzaar 80 twice morning and evening. So my query is which combination is better the previous one or the New one.does that mean th at the current medicine is not suiting him so his blood pressure is goin up and down. His blood pressure was perfectly in range with ramcor h and amlosafe 5. He has atrial fibrillation problem since asd closure sinus rhythm problem. He is on regular medicines for diabetes and is under control.
