Meloxicam is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that's used to treat pain, fever and swelling. It may help with some of the pain and swelling, but should only be taken if your doctor has prescribed it and said it is safe for you to take.

its side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach irritation and increased risk of bleeding.
