Medication False Positive Buprenorphine
UpdatedI get drug tested by urinalysis tests at work often. So often, in fact, that I have them at my disposal and I often take urinalysis tests just because I can. I will say though, as someone who doesn't use drugs, you'd be surprised what shows up as a false positive for buprenorphine. So far (through regular testing and negatives in between) there have been a handful of both prescription and over the counter drugs that, once taken, have resulted in a false positive for buprenorphine. These drugs are: tizanidine, meloxicam, ketorolac, ranitidine, oxaprozin, ibuprofen, acetaminophen, and diphenhydramine. I hope this information will be helpful to those of you who have had a false positive for buprenorphine and would like to avoid this issue in the future.
