I have a script for tramad/acetamin 37.5 tab with instructions to take 1 pill every 6hrs. This is not relieving my pain. Can I take 2 every 6 hrs?

Hello, Scorpio! How are you?
No, you shouldn't double your dosage, without your doctor's approval, that may result in your getting too much of the Acetaminophen, which risks being fatally toxic, or causing liver damage.
The FDA classifies this medication as an opioid, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
Your doctor may actually want to prescribe something stronger, or a higher dose of Tramadol, without the Acetaminophen.
Is there anything else I can help with?
