Lyrica Lawsuit (Page 65)

Does anyone know if there is an ongoing lawsuit against the company who puts out Lyrica? I am a mess from it. Do we have a leg to stand on when it comes to the side effects they found out from people like us? I am a long termer. I have been taking 900 mg since 2005. Is there anyone representing us? Thank you

I had all of the symptoms I even had a heart attack off of it and they tried covering it up

I had many of the symptoms you all have been talking about while on Lyrica except anxiety attacks and heart problems
I'd be sitting at the dining room table for dinner and when I would try to get up I'd fall off the chair and would be crawling like a baby until my husband would help me up. I also would fall out of bed and be flat on my back or on my stomach unable to get up. My arms and legs would flair about try to get up and unable even to turn over. I would forget how to drive my car. I was tested at work, I worked in a hospital. They had me go to the lab and have a blood alcohol test done because I was walking and talking like a drunk. Of course the test was negative so they couldn't send me home. I had mental problems. I'd ask to see a patient's chart to check the orders and would promptly for get where the nurses told me where the chart was or that I had even asked for it. Eventually I was put on probation because I got off it cold turkey, which the hospital said if I didn't listen to the doctor and wean myself off it ,then how could they trust me to follow their or a doctor's order. I still have some short term memory loss. The last 2 years I have been going to a community college to get retrained to do a different job and still use my knowledge of medicine. I can only handle 2 courses at a time and even then I may end up flunking this semester. I just hope I can pass the courses, otherwise I'll have to repeat them next spring term and take the fall off. I just have to wait and see. I wish they would take Lyrica off the market. They took Darvocet off the market, even though it's been around a lot longer because some had some heart problems. I guess they'll pull aspirin off because of bleeding problems or Tylenol, which can cause liver problems. It seems that all these new drugs coming out have so many bad side effects, you might have to put up with your health problems because it is the lesser of 2 evils. I doubt we will ever find a lawyer until it is too late for a lot of us. God help us all.

My entire life has changed. I could be a poster girl for these symptoms listed here. It took me a while to connect what was happening to me to Lyrica (because it messes with your memory and therefore your logic. I have posted my problems before so I will not reiterate, however the memory problems, still haunt me along with some others. I have always been "quick" to work on a problem, but never had anxiety until after my dosage on Lyrica was increased and on night at my brothers house I had a full blown anxiety attack. I though I was dying and asked to be taken to the hospital. I still over-react to stressful situations and do not handle them well. I have been off Lyrica for years. I guess it will affect me the rest of my life.

Anxiety triggered by Lyrica is very difficult to treat as its origin is born of chemical brain damage and not of an organic anomaly that SSR medication is designed to treat .Lyrica induced Anxiety is a trip into hell that does not improve as the years go by , this is a real and very serious disability to the sufferer as it renders them almost totally dysfunctional and perpetually in torment, i grieve for my son as i have seen his life squandered by this horrible drug and the thugs who created it . ... .

I have been using lyrica for 3 years now and the side effects from it are driving me nuts. I have trouble thinking, speaking, concentrating, remembering things. I am very irritable moody dont have an appetite but have seemed to put weight on. I'm bloated all the time. I get the shakes sometimes as well. I have had enough of this drug. It's also affecting my eyes.

My brother was put on lyrica a while after hip surgery to help with nerve pain. He committed suicide. He never showed any signs of depression ever... He told everyone the pain was finally decreasing and he was feeling so much better. I know on the commercial it states suicidal thoughts. Has anyone battled with this?

I am saddened to read of your lose. I cant imagine something like this happening to our family yet in the last two months watching my dad change with all these side effects from lyrica make me start thinking that I would wake up and discover the worst. So he is in the hospital as I type this. due to the side effects of this medication. we must get strength from all who are suffering at the hands of Big Pharma.

I have contacted several of the firms that are suing for damages on other medications, and none were interested in pursuing a lawsuit, so I wrote Pfizer myself, telling them i would sue them privately for what their poison did to my husband. The only response i got was that their ads changed.

I believe the only way we can call attention to the damage Lyrica does is those of us who can picket Pfyzer about this drug. If the demonstration is large enough maybe it will make the news and the government may finally investigate the drug and the makers of this poison.

I HAVE HAD SO MANY OF THE PROBLEMS THAT YOU ALL DESCRIBED AND MORE. I WAS SHOCKED WHEN I WENT ONLINE AND SAW THE LIST OF SIDE EFFECTS THAT WAS NOT IN THE PAPER WORK I GOT WHEN I STARTED ON LYRICA OVER 6 YEARS AGO.

Same effects for me Im 54 and my memory is gone cant spell will be talking and lose the words. I wish an attorney would take this in as a lawsuit

I've been on lyrics since it came out and my docs pushed it on me... It did relieve my pain but it did not help with the suicidal tendencies since I already have depression from my back but it has really effected my memory over the years and my train of thought and I just thought it was my age catching up to me till I was told to look into it

What happened to your husband? My husband got a detached retina and thought it was because he was getting older but, I read that lyrica can cause detached retina. My daughter is 30 and started taking lyrica she started having breast milk! There has got to be something we can do.

Just last year i had 14 fillingings done of 2014 and 2015 i got four more and thev medsi get worse i swallow up more and more and have harderc time to breath Harder to walk wear clothes go places bite my self it takes a lot from me and my spouse iwish iwas never given this d drug

Hi Connie!! I was on Lyrica for a couple years ,it was the only thing I have ever found to help my pain, But my eyesite got really bad and the brain fog' I went off it,,I am going to eye doctor to see if she can tell if it was the Lyrica or just old age causing it! I have confusion so bad,I'm like u,I can't hardly even talk any more,screw up everything I want to say, and I know what u mean about mixing up words and letters, I put the letters backwards ,the letters in the wrong places, and now my legs are jerking really bad, I had restless legs before but now it's lot worse! I am on Neutron now, and it does nothing for my pain, and I am more tried now than I use before!! I don't know what to do!! This pain and fatigue get so old, and now I feel like I have ADD, I start to do something and before I finish,I am doing something else,my mind feels like it's racing, Hope we all find some relief soon!!

Pervocet, Vicodin, or Tylenol 3 , may help your pain. Tylenol 3 takes the edge off. I've been off Lyrica since 2006 and still have memory problems. You are not getting old
Lyrica is a bad drug.

My husband of 30 plus years shot himself after 3 months on Lyrica. Is there a lawsuit out there? I know it was the Lyrica.

I don't even know just how long I have been on this MONSTER drug. But my arms and legs as well as my face show the scars. I am working with my doctor to get off of it. I am currently taking two 100mg capsules, three times a day. I was thumbing through a Star magazine when I came across the Ad/side effects page. While reading it, I saw myself. I have been miserable for years, never even questioning this drug. I am curious if any lawsuits have bee started.....I am so upset today, I'm thinking of starting my own. We have great big lawyers, if not here, Sacramento, then in San Francisco -
