Lyrica Lawsuit (Page 63)

Does anyone know if there is an ongoing lawsuit against the company who puts out Lyrica? I am a mess from it. Do we have a leg to stand on when it comes to the side effects they found out from people like us? I am a long termer. I have been taking 900 mg since 2005. Is there anyone representing us? Thank you

So I called the telephone number you listed in your response. They took down all of my information and asked that I submit the prescribing Dr.'s name and the pharmacy. They said they will refer my information to an attorney to see if my case qualifies. I hope it will as my brother was on this medication for 23 days and committed suicide, had even expressed to me that he didn't like the way the medicine made him feel. Keeping my fingers crossed as I would love to see a trust fund set up for his little boy.

I took Lyrica for about a year. I now have Graves' disease and drug induced Lupus. While on Lyrica I became a wreck. I kept falling, couldn't drive, wasn't hungry, gained weight, had absolutely no energy. I got off of it by myself.

Hi Jody , just wont to ask you when you came off Lyrica did you recover fully , do you have any ongoing memory or anxiety issues as my Son has more than four years after stopping Lyrica .

While on Lyrica I had all those symptoms. And they were so NAD the hospital department I worked for asked for a blood alcohol test performed the test was negative. But I had no memory. I would leep asking for a patient's chart every 15 -30 seconds. I felt fine but my coworkers thought I was a danger to my patients. Eventually they got rid of me along with other personnel who had worked for them more than 25 years
A few years later they got rid of the rest of the older working personnel. With me , they just used the drug effect to throw me away. I still have memory problems sometimes I know what I want to say I cannot verbalize the word. I got off cold turkey rather than stay on the Lyrica in decreasing doses. I kept a phone near me in case anything was wrong. My husband was in the living room invasr I needed him. Luckily nothing happened. The only side effect I still have is memory issue. Even if we find a lawyer I'm sure that the statute of limitations has come and gone with me. I wish we could get a TV ad on television about Lyrica maybe more of is would come out of the shadows. But who has that kind of money. If a TV crew came to my house my family and I could tell them some of the facts pyfzer wants hidden. Maybe a lawyer would send it and want to help us. But I think that is way down the road that you can't see it. Good Luck to you.

Hello everyone, I was ex with multiple myeloma Nov 2013 was place on velcade which damage my nerves in my feet. So I was place on Lyrica four months later since then I have become aggressive, blurry vision, very confuse, my teeth are loose, up all night long sleep off and on in the daytime, I am being treated for blisters to bottom of my right foot, and I walk around feeling high most of the time.
I was taking 600mg a day, I ask my doctor to take me off, she started 4 weeks ago 50mg a night I have one week of 50mg left and I will be completely off. I do not know if my side effects will be permanently
I pray to God each day for relief. Please continue to share your thoughts.

Have u tried Gabapentin? I had been on this for several years with no problems. Tried Pregabalin (Lyrica) to see if it was a better med. It worked better for neuropathy but, caused lymphedema (?sp). Bad, bad bad

My son had been on LYRICA for five years and then all of sudden the pharmacy said he had to have prescription every month because it was narcotic. He was angry all the time, threaten suicide any bodily harm to self and others. His Doctor stop prescribing it to him. He went cold turkey is much much better. He suffer from BTI. He has seizures, that it was prescribed to him. Was never informed it was narcotic. I would like to put a lawsuit against PFZER. Please keep me informed.

My son has not had a dose of Lyrica for more than 4.5 years and at the age of nearly 22 years has not recovered his razor sharp memory and high level of cognitive function not to mention the Anxiety disorder he did not get until he took Lyrica , . Would like to know of others that have been effected in the same way ., has any one else not suffered from Anxiety until they took Lyrica ?.

I have not posted in almost a year. I answer yes to your question. I took Lyrica for Fibromyalgia pain. I have always been a high energy person until
Fibro took me. BUT, I never, never had an anxiety problem until after Lyrica. I also have hugh memory problems. Everything from "lost" words while talking, lost names of people, places and things, and holes in my mid and long term memories. Just gone. I have eyesight loss, tooth loss, strength loss and a sleep disorder. I was a high level Administrative Secretary for a Fortune Five Hundred construction company handling a Vice President of the company and five construction managers. I could remember hundreds of phone numbers for sub contractors and the names of all the contacts. I could go on and on, but I will not. Good luck with you son and whatever happens.

I think our only hope is make a commercial about all the bad effects Lyrica has. And it isn't worth the sad effects to relieve the pain. There are other pain relievers on the market. Also people have to know that they will not become drug addicts because they are taking a narcotic. Besides I think being a drug addict is not as dangerous than Lyrica. In fact I believe it would be better to be a drug addict than suffer the effects of Lyrica. Also many of the older narcotics, for example Tylenol #3, vicodan, and percoset to name a few will not affect your mind, your walking gait will not look like you are drunk. All you have to do is follow some simple things, Don't drin while on it and if you are addicted to drugs including alcohol. REMEMBER NOT TO DRINK AND DRIVE!!

Seems that the only reason we cant sue for lyrica damage is no lawyer wants to take us on for what amounts to serious personal life changing injury, there are so many of us, we cant all be dreaming or working in collusion, we all found this site because of our suffering , so why are we treated like this, WHY ???

Hi Dianne , thanks for your reply , just wonted to note that my sons Anxiety disorder triggered by the use of Lyrica seems to be very treatment resistant , my theory is because his Anxiety is not of simple natural organic origin but caused by Drug Damage , the standard SSR1 and SSR2 don't have much worthwhile curative benefits , would like to know if you have experienced the same out come if indeed you have sought treatment for that part of the Lyrica damage ...

Mary I believe that your ideal about making a commercial about all the side effect, and suffering that we all are going thru is a great ideal. If there are others out there that feel the same I am all for it, please keep me in the loop. The commercial will more than likely be expensive however if we all pull our resources together it should no be as bad. Hope to here more from you and other's so.

I have not sought treatment however my doctor was distressed and prescribed an antidepressant. I still have anxiety problems. I have stopped taking the antidepressant because I did not notice any difference in the anxiety problems. I have not noticed any difference since I stopped the antidepressant.

Let me know cause one month on this Toxic Crap and my legs have weakened and I have lost strength in my upper body also. Let alone the suicidal thoughts too! What a joke! I should have never gone on this but Pain Drs are legal pill pushers, how else will they make their money?

Thanks for your reply Dianne , as you said the anti depressant medications don't seem to do any thing and the anxiety does not go away , once Lyrica has done its damage to the brain there seems to be no anti depressant or anxiety medication regardless of the dose given that makes any difference , Lyrica triggered Anxiety or depression is totally treatment resistant ,my son has been on just about all of them and at various doses ,any one with anxiety will know what a hell this is and know how dysfunctional it can be to daily life , this is worse than the original pain problem .,Lyrica is a Drug out of Hell.

I was diagnosed with MS (multiple sclerosis) in 2006. I suffer with so much much pain, weakness, spasms, and so many other MS symptoms, and I have been bounced from one pain med to another over the years. Out of desperation, and being made to feel like a "pain drug seeker" in my state, I was suggested Lyrica from my Dr. She sent me to Pain Management,,might as well say,, "legalized drug pushers employed by the highest bidder"
God forbid you question the effectiveness of marijuana oil, BUT you can take legal drugs that forever change your brain chemistry. I can't understand this?! This drug has ruined my life. I thought MS ruined my life...nope...Lyrica is a drug from Hell.
It has robbed me. . I'll never be the same.
I can't BELIEVE that they are pushing this horrible drug on fibromyalgia patients and for diabetes foot pain!!! It is by FAR the worst narcotic I have ever been on in my life,,and hell to get off of. I thought I was going to go insane or die...Please don't take this drug
