I am taking white oblong pill wiith p23 on one side and LU on the other what is it and who makes it?

If the tablet with the 574 on it also has a logo, then it does contain 100mgs of Losartan, an ARB, that is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure.

Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and headache.

The pill marked LU P23 contains the same medication, in the same dosage.


It is manufactured by Lupin Pharmaceuticals.

Express scripts switched me from losartin in a blue pill to a generic recently. Losartin was perfect for several months controlling my prehypertension. The new pill does not seem to be working like the brand name. Lupin Pharm. manufactured the generic and it is Whitsun capsule with LU on one side, P23 on the other. The brand Losartin was easy to take, the Lupin is very bitter.

Is any losartin (generic Cozaar) actually made in US?I find losartin made in Slovenia and India and I do not want to take them. I took a round white 50 mg. "losartin" made by Zydus and it put me in the hospital. It was made in India.

I have been taking Losartan 100 mg for 5 years. They have changed 3 times, first white oblong shape, next blue oblong shape, now round white pill. Am I correct to believe they are not all created equal and are coming from India? How do I go about finding or knowing the pill I get is mfr. in the USA.
