There are quite a few in the Pittsburgh area, however, we have no way of knowing what type of insurance they accept, what treatments they provide, or what they may/may not prescribe.

Some you may want to look into are:

Pain Management Associates 412-201-1388

Pain Management Center 412-622-2447

Allegheny General Hospital 412-359-8976

Interactive Pain Management 412-521-4900

Please let us know if any of them work out for you!

Let me warn you now, getting 30's unless you have a full set of medical records will take you forever. Most b**** about 10. I would also get a letter from the DR.

I used to be an active dr shopperand just have it up too muchhassle. my success rate was 71% I tracked it. You will be luckt to even get an ES unless you have documentation. I never went to pill mills cause DEA lurks there and some pharmacies will not fill the script. I did a ton of research on the meds and knew about as much as he did about the med, fed him all the clues to lead him to my answer. Now sometimes I had to push and prompt, but I was successful. Never went above a class 2 though, too easy to get strung out. I hot fentylpatches and they are tough, but too strong for myiself I am a recreational weekend warrior. NowI have 1 large script each month of the medication I need for my health and I am having a blast hie healthcare pays thebill

I am having a big problem finding a doctor that is willing to help me out. Right now I am on the following pain meds: oxymorphone 10 mgs 2xs daily and oxycodone 10 mgs 4xs daily. I am a diabetic of which last month had a sugar attack that was also a pancreatic attack. I was 1st injured back almost 10 years ago at work. I am no longer allowed to work. I have had 10 surgeries, 8 of them were fusions from the L2/3 to the L5/S1 levels. I am on 900 milligrams of gabapentin 3xs daily klonopin .5 mgs 3x a day, motrin 800 mgs 3x day, fenofibrate 200 mgs - 1 at bedtime & xanax 2 mgs at bedtime... As I said I was injured nearly 10 years ago. On Oct 17th it will be 10 years. I just had my 8th surgery as a fusion (10 overall) on Sept 19th 2016. Being through this on 8 different occasions I was trying to tell my neurosurgeon that something was not right and I was having pain at the same place. He ignored this as it was in my head. Thankfully my pcp sent me to have an MRI done and I have a herniation at the 2 levels above and at the level that was just fused, which had me so lost. There is bone cadaver and rods, plates and screws there. How can this be? Well my pcp recommended I talk to my neurosurgeon again and I have not due to my last visit when I was treated like a complete addict. Prior to this surgery in September, I had asked my surgeon if he could set me up with a pain doctor. The Dr. I was seeing was a cash only doc and he would not send anything to my insurance co, so my meds would be covered and paying over 1000 a month when you are disabled is extremely hard not including with 2 pre teens. He had no problem with this so as I am seeing my new pain doc I was honest with him and asked if he could lower me down to try to get as low as possible without being in pain.

Now I was on oxymorphine 30mgs 3xs daily and oxycodone 30mgs 4xs a day until Dec '16. Also I have arthritis in both of my hips and I have trouble walking even a half of a block. Anyways sorry for this being so long. The doctor would not stop lowering me till I got to 2 oxymorphone a day and 4 oxycodone a day of just 10 milligrams, and I have repeatedly asked him to please reevaluate me. I told him I have been bedridden for 4 months and he would just keep on shutting me out. I am in the greater Pittsburgh, Pa area and he is now evaluating me for long term care but this man says I am not a long term doctor! I really need help and is it bad if I get a 2nd or 3rd opinion if I am not getting anything from that Dr. and if anybody knows anywhere that I could see a doctor please help. I have no life. The Drs made sure of that and it's not fun never being able to do anything with your children. I just want to have some kind of life back. I wish I could go back to the cash only doctor but I cant afford him at all and now he wants $750 to see him like I was going to see him the 1st time. So all of you know I really didn't know this would turn into a bad thing but 5 different drs have told me I will be on meds the rest of my life, 2 of which was IME doctors so they worked for the insurance company. I just wish I could feel decent enough to have some time to not only spend with my kids but my wife and my parents also. By the way I am just turning 44 next month. I hope somebody could help me and let me know something, anything would be helpful. Again sorry for this being so long but I just need to have some kind of life back, not only for me but for my family.
