Linzess 290mcg

I have gastroparesis and have been on Linzess for a year and a half. It worked ok until recently. Now I'm not going at all. Can I drink water the 30 minutes before my first meal. Most of the time I don't eat much.

Hello, Donna! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem you're having.

It works best taken on an empty stomach, with just a sip of water. Typical side effects, as listed by the FDA may include nausea, dizziness, diarrhea and stomach pain.

At this point, it would be best to consult your doctor, many people have reported a similar issue. For some people it only works for a few weeks, but sometimes it works longer, but few are having long-term good luck with it

Hope this is helpful. I also have the paresis for years. Nothing has worked until this. For me sometimes it takes 1-4 hours to work. I need to drink 1/2 gal. of water, juice whatever to get going. The 145 pill gives me 1-3 movements and not always. The 290 gives me massive D and stomach bloat and pain. I also have gained 15lbs on the 4 months on this pill. Wish you luck.
