Is Oxyneo Generic Or Brand
Updatedmy doctor prescribed oxyneo 40mg and the pharmacist told me they would cost $175. which I couldn't afford to pay for 60 tabs. Is this brand or is this generic, and should they offer to give me the other brand if available

Hello, Heather! How are you?
Oxyneo is the name brand manufactured by Purdue Pharma, it contains a controlled release formulation of Oxycodone, however, there is no generic available.
The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.
It might be best to speak to your doctor to see if they can prescribe a cheaper alternative.
Is there anything else I can help with?
