In a word NO! I hope you have chronic pain because that's what it is used for and only that. Not unless you want it release all at one time (that can kill you).

Dont even think of doing that, my son died from doing that. Its a 3 day pach and when you do that you get all 3 days at once.

Chewing on fentnyl patch can differently kill you. It is slowly released in to your body. Don't cut them just use as directed and if you have??s about them call your pharmacist, they are your best resource. I've been on the patch for 10 years and I'm about to start weaning off them and I'm scared to death it's a horrible withdrawal I've had to go through it before. Chronic pain sucks the meds are not good for us but we need them to try and have some quality. It just hurts so bad even to text this.

I have been on the patches for four years now. I was on 200mcg/72hrs but after loosing a little over 100 pounds now am prescribed 125mcg/72hrs. Prior to the patches I was on OxyContin but my body stopped processing them so the Dr suggested the patches. Anyhow the patches do not make me feel high, the OxyContins always gave me a buzz but the patches WORK. I am still prescribed Dilaudid for the breakthrough pain which thankfully I don't take very often because the patches do work so well. I don't get any elevated feelings from the patches and miss the OxyContin high but am glad that I am no longer in pain!

It's amazing that people have no idea of how much of a powerful drug they are taking or how it's made to work. He's asking if he can chew on a patch ; can he pull the pin on the grenade then put it in his pocket and not get killed ? I can sit in my Dr's office and I can easily see who is in pain and who is just looking for a high And they wonder why the pharmacist won't fill the script. I could write a book - maybe I will !

I put one on my hand, never used painkillers or any other medication and got off my trotter gaahhh not a good idea avoid them lol

We'll I have been chewing on 100mcg fentanyl for two years with a 100 on my body at the same time. Some people's body are different then others.

Rick, I can only say this: you are going to be suffering some horrible withdrawals when the time comes....and it WILL come. Why do that to yourself? I know there is no doctor in the world who would prescribe that much to one person, let alone chew it.
You may have built up a tolerance to them, as I have done over the past few years - but you've gone way beyond anything normal. I hear withdrawals from Fentanyl is even tougher than H. So, if you survive chewing on a new 100mcg patch full-strength while having one on your skin, then Good luck with your DOWN time!!!

Rick, are you chewing on an WHOLE unused/new 100mcg patch while wearing another? If so, that is so dangerous. No doctor would ever prescribe that to a patient, not legally.
I've built up a tolerance over the past 2 years also, but not near as far to put a whole new patch in my mouth, that would certainly kill me. Not sure how you intend to maintain that level, but my guess is that you will be suffering some horrible withdrawals one day soon when you cannot access enough of the patches your body has become accustomed to. Man, why would you want to do that to yourself? Is the pain that bad, or is it pure addiction?

I do all the time. But very high tolerance and take em in quarters after I've worn it a day or two. Of your not on oxcy 30 or something very high dose dont even try it. Out makes my patch last a couple days longer. Know your level. Or die.

It is hared to manage the pain I am n 50 fentenyl patch but it doesn't stop the pan all the time what do you think of sucking them.

I have cut a 100 mg in half (being only 16 and a 115lb female) my tolerance is very high. I have ingested all of the gelitin. put it in the side of your gums and let it sit and soak up through the blood vessels. Youll get a high quicker than the 3 day wait. 50 mg is okay depending on your tolerance.
