Ip 10 325 Norco Vs 36 01 V

Updated

Hi: I have been taking 36 01 v generic norco by Qualitest for a couple years now, due to a long list of pain issues. Since the Fed Law has been changed and I can no longer get refills on my prescription, I was also informed by my pharmacy they no longer carry the yellow 36 01 v and wanted to give me ip110. I finally found a pharmacy that had 70 of the yellow and gave me 20 of the white ip110. I find the white ip110 does not work well at all. I felt them a little faster but they are not as string and wear off very quickly, unless I double up on it. Why have all pharmacies stopped carrying the yellow 36 01 v? Also is there a difference with hydrocordone Bitartrate? I took white ones a few years ago (1 a day though was 3x's a day) and it gave me heart palpitations. So of course I'm nervous about the new white ip110. Is there something else I could ask my Dr for that works as well as the yellow 36 01v ? I live in Los Angeles and wanted to know if the yellow pills are unavailable in my state or all across the US. I know I have a lot of questions, so thank you for your time.

Hello, Robin! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems you've been having.

There is currently a shortage due to some relabeling issues, since Norco was changed to a schedule two drug at the beginning of the month. Additionally, due to mandatory manufacturing limits, there are almost always shortages of most controlled substances the last few months of the year. As long as I can remember, demand has exceeded supply and there's been a shortage starting in October and continuing into January of the new year.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Thus, it might be better to ask your doctor to prescribe an alternative, but you may want to check with your pharmacist first to see what's available.

Percocet is similar, it contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone, also in a regular release formulation and it's available as a generic, as well as the brand name.

Is there anything else I can help with?

I'm in Grand Rapids, Michigan and I'm almost 100% positive Walgreens carries the brand you are looking for. Also, some of the small independently owned "Ma-Pa" type pharmacies do as well. I also just found out that you can request a pharmacy to order the generic brand you prefer and they will do so. You can also call and check around to see who carries that brand as I have done that before. Usually, CVS has the crappiest generics out of them all. At least around me anyways... And CVS sucks to put it bluntly! I hear people complain about Walgreens quite a bit, but the ones by me are very well ran (at least 3 near me are...) & very easy to work with. CVS on the other hand, are mini Hitler wannabes, running it like a tight ship of Nazis. However, extremely unintelligent, unknowledgeable *****s. For one example, 2 of the techs there were completely convinced that Xanax was a C2 narcotic! Regardless of what I tried to tell them, they thought for certain, they were correct in this thinking! Lol.. Then they asked for my ID when I went to the window to drop my prescription off, came back was it about 5 to 8 minutes later and then they asked for it again when I was back in 10 minutes to pay for it. They said, "it's the law and by law they require your driver's license every single time you get any controlled substance." Whatever! Maybe with the CTO and when you drop it off when they run it through but usually after they know who you are and you verify your address, birthday or whatever they might ask for security reasons they will usually not ask for a second time within a 30 minute period. No pharmacy has ever asked me for it every single time I go when they know who you are. One time I had my expired license as I accidentally left my other wallet at home and she said that it was expired and unacceptable and so I said well didn't you need to just know that it was me. She said that was not the case... Liars!

They just like to make things difficult for everyone and I don't know why! And, it's ALWAYS the same few ones too. Nonetheless, they are located right around the corner from my house and within walking distance. This is the third chance I've given them in the past four years & after my last visit there, that was it. I will be pulling all of my husband's & my children's meds/refills/etc., out of CVS & NEVER TO RETURN! I will just pay the extra money and go 100% w/ Walgreens who also had some at each, due to not having insurance and trying to save a few bucks. However, life is waayyyyy too short for such immature nonsense!? AND, this time, I'm not returning no matter what! I don't care if they're giving out free prescriptions, I will not return there! I gave them more than a fair chance to be better and more hospitable, but to no surprise they failed again! Each time the "incidents" and/or visits, are worse! So instead of improving as time goes on, and learning from their mistakes, they instead keep getting worse to the point of beyond bad! So, as the saying goes; "three strikes and you're out!". Anyways, after all of that ranting I just did...I hope you find your medication & my apologies for getting off track...I decided to add a few informatives if you didn't notice, while adding my other tidbits & advice that were weighing on my mind... LOL.
