I Have Never Done Heroin. I Am On 8mg Of Suboxone And Want To Try It. Will I Feel It?

I was addicted to pain pills and have been taking suboxone. would like to try heroin. will I feel it?

Hi Wondering, Theres a lot of people that are trying to get on a sub program that want to get straight. The sub drs by law can only prescribe subs to a certain number of people.
People are waiting to get on subs.
If you don,t want to be on them you should tell your dr and give someone else a chance.
As for your question, you may be wasting your money if you don,t wait a few days after being on subs.

If you were already addicted to pain pills why would you even wanna try that nasty ass s***, for one you wouldn't know if you were doing horse tranqs or heroin, if you had a problem with the pills you would be in big trouble if you got ahold of real heroin, not to mention you risked prison, wasted money, all for nothing, as the suboxone/subutex blocks all opioid re-uptake for days! Totally not worth the risk for something that you know will not work. My advice keep on keeping on! And kick the habit, you never know when you'll break a leg or something, and will need the medicine for what is meant for.

To take heroin is just absolutely stupid! I am a heroin addict and would do anything to be free of it, it controls my life in every aspect, have tried methadone to try ad quit but don't wanna get addicted to it coz it's worse apparently, took my first sub today and I don't feel that great, most of it is probably a mental thing tho coz I'm so Hooked on H. My advice is get as far away from it as you can it is the devil, I no loads of people on it who just can't stop, there habits are through the roof and been on it for years tho. Iv only been on H a year and a half but have cut the amount i take down gradually to try and get off it and get my life back!

How can anyone take the advice from the majority of the people on here who are unable to spell even the simplest of words? No one has even answered the posed question!! Everyone knows that doing heroin is not a brilliant idea- but for some people, trying it out, when they're already familiar with opiates enough to be on Suboxone, isn't that far of a stretch, to satisfy a curiosity and desire to feel much better physically and psychologically, if used 'responsibly'- since suboxone doesn't do much in those terms. Suboxone works wonders if you're serious about recovery, and take it properly under the care of a physician. One can go on to lead a normal, productive life, and function on a daily basis without feeling sick, being broke, or risking legal ramifications.

However, some people are not totally ready, to dedicate their lives to sobriety. And everyone is totally different. For me, alcohol and Marijuana were far worse than dope. They ruined every aspect of my life. But I don't condone or advocate any substance abuse. But to answer your question, use caution above all else when trying heroin for the first time. Sample a very small amount, because you never know the purity, or what it's cut with. Secondly, injecting can cause a plethora of its own problems.... Same goes for sterile cotton, spoon (or whatever you use it in). I'm a fanatic when it comes to cleanliness....don't want diseases, infections, or abscesses, etc.

And yes, what the others have been saying is true: wait until the suboxone starts wearing off in order to feel the effects of H. Or you'll just be wasting your time and money. ... 12-24 hours should be fine, maybe longer. Or, whenever you start feeling withdrawal symptoms. Good luck, be careful, enjoy, and hopefully once will satisfy your curiosity. Over the past year, I had to preform CPR on two of my close friends, from heroin overdoses. One was a seasoned user, it was only 2nd time for the other .... luckily I've been a lifeguard since I was 15....over 15 years, obviously CPR trained.... pretty scary stuff....

I beg u not to. Plz stay on your subs. Getting off my subs and taking h was the worst choice i made. I was clean for 5 years and now im relapsing.

m8 why would u want to try heroin m8 long road to loseing everything my advice dnt do it i was addicted to painkillers and went on to heroin 3 years later im now on subutex but nearly lost everything please stay away

Lily Flower...I was on dope on and off last 25 years. Always took methadone when off. Last 13 years I stayed on methadone until recently I had to stop and get on subs. Weaning off now cuz unlike methadone it hasn't stopped me from wanting dope. I feel like I'm paying $600 month for nothing! If you think you'll need some type of euphoria then stay on methadone, but if you're really trying to get clean then maybe the suboxone with NA meetings could work for you. Yea, methadone withdrawal lasts a lot longer than dope, but when you're ready, taper off just like you would have to do with suboxone. Unfortunately you just can't walk off that either. I'm trying to get myself off them now (as painless as possible) and so far haven't been able to find out a straight answer re: the withdrawal. Oh, before everyone starts slamming me about telling you to stay on methadone...I'm not! If somebody is quitting dope because they want their future drug free then yes, stay away from methadone! Personally I see methadone as just a replacement. for the people tired of the wanting, needing and looking for dope everyday but needs some type of euphoria to stay off the dope...then don't waste your time getting on suboxone. I did and it's been a waste of money cuz I'm taking dope again on and off. At least the past 13 years on methadone I wasn't. I guess it's all about being honest with yourself before your next move.
