Kim,
Can't find that exact imprint either. A couple questions - (1) Where did you get it from? A pharmacy as a generic, online pharmacy from another country, etc? Generally U.S. prescription meds have strict guidelines and are required to have unique markings on them. A pill that doesn't come up under those standards might either be over the counter, from out of the USA, etc.
Hey Roy...thanks for responding...actually a girlfriend gave it to me and said it was lortab that was purchased online...I was afraid to take it, especially when I couldn't find one thing about it on the internet...is there a way to look up imprints from other countries?
It is difficult to match up imprints from other countries because many foreign manufacturers do not follow the same strict guidelines that the FDA sets forth in the US.
Can you friend tell you what country the med was shipped from or manufactured? Generally a manufacturer name should have been listed on the original container. That extra clue might help to locate the manufacturer online and verify it that way. Personally, I would avoid taking it until a definite ID can be made.
Good luck and please post back if you are able to get more details...
Roy
I have checked all my resources as well and can't find a listing for this either.
If it is something over the counter, there may not be a way to identify it, since OTC drugs are not regulated like prescription drugs. If they wish, a company making an OTC product does not have to use any imprint, or they may use the same imprint on everything.
the white oblong g254 is a stumper for me. I am told by the person who gave them to me that they are generic loratab. has anyone takin these and do they work?
I suggest calling Poison Control and asking. Tell them you found it in your childs room........
I believe they are 500mg Acetaminophen purchased from Target in the target labeled bottle
