MY SISTER WAS BEING GIVEN ABOUT 6-7 OF THE STRONGEST MORPHINE PILLS AT A TIME IN A CAPSULE AS A SUPPOSITORY ABOUT EVERY 30 MINUTES-A FEW HRS BY THIS GIRL THAT CLAIMED TO B HER FRIEND BUT THEN I FOUND OUT THAT THE GIRL HELD A GRUDGE AGAINST HER AFTER MY SISTER WAS ALREADY GONE.

Hi Dee Dee - my gosh, that's so sad about your sister, I'm sorry to hear that! Geez. Well, first and foremost, would it be possible for you guys to get a toxicology report / autopsy for your sister to determine the exact cause of death? It would be worth filing a police report if foul play is suspected.

To answer your other question, I found some info about Morphine overdose:

"A large overdose can cause asphyxia and death by respiratory depression if the person does not receive medical attention immediately. [35] Overdose treatment includes the administration of Naloxone. The latter completely reverses morphine's effects, but precipitates immediate onset of withdrawal in opiate-addicted subjects. Multiple doses may be needed. [35]

The minimum lethal dose is 200mg, but in case of hypersensitivity, 60mg can bring sudden death. In serious drug dependency (high tolerance), 2000–3000mg per day can be tolerated." - Source: Wiki: Morphine Details: Overdose

Then, this Medline Plus article states that symptoms of overdose may include:

"Eyes, ears, nose, and throat:
Pinpoint pupils

Gastrointestinal system:
Constipation

Spasms of the stomach or intestinal tract

I wish there were a way to get a toxicology report but I believe the only reason they didn't bother with any kind of toxicology report is because my sister had stage 4 stomach cancer!
I had been doing a lot of research on different ways to cure cancer & the night the Dr's & nurses said she wouldn't make it through the night, I told my mom to put the stuff on her stomach so after my sister went into a coma late that night, my mom went in & rubbed it on. Now mind you, my sister wasn't able to get out of bed & wasn't able to walk at all. They, washed her hair while in her bed. That very next morning b4 anyone else was awake, my sister got out of bed & walked in & took a shower by her self & everyday she seemed to get better & better until this woman whom claimed to b her friend started giving my sister 6, 7 pills at a time every time my sister would wake up or somebody would go in to c her & wake her.
I INTEND ON PRESSING CHARGES ON HER FOR PRE-MEDITATED MURDER BECAUSE ASIDE FROM WHAT I SEEN THIS WOMAN DO & ASIDE FROM THE FACT THAT THIS WOMAN TOLD ME THAT SHE WAS HERE TO HELP MY SISTER DIE, MY SISTER TOLD ME THAT THE WOMAN HAD A GRUDGE AGAINST HER & NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, MY SISTER DIDNT WANT HER ANYWHERE CLOSE TO HER & MY SISTER TOLD ME EXACTLY WHAT & HOW THIS WOMAN PLANNED TO EVERY THING FROM BEGINNING TO END BUT I WASNT STAYING IN THE HOUSE SO I WASNT THERE TO STOP HER FROM GAINING CONTROL & NO MATTER HOW MUCH I TRIED, NOBODY BELIEVED THAT THIS WOMAN WAS HURTING MY SISTER IN ANYWAY UNTIL AFTER MY SISTER WAS ALREADY GONE.

By the way, my sister was cream mated right away & the last few days b4 she took her last breath, she had all the signs & symptoms of drug overdose. The woman got mad at me for waking my sister a few days prior to her death & told me I'd have to give my sister the suppository w/i believe 7 morphine in the capsule so I went in & got my daughter whom is a licensed nurses assistant & licensed to draw blood & as we were explaining to my sister what we were about to do, my sister kept repeating herself & right b4 we were about to give her the suppository, I asked my sister again if the pain she was feeling was hunger pains or cancer pain because the woman wouldn't allow her to eat. Said because she just throws it up anyway & wouldn't allow her to even eat the baby food i got her. Anyway, my sister asked y the suppository & was it because she couldn't poop! I told her no, it is for pain & again I asked if she was in pain, she said, I didn't know I was in pain & I didn't know I had to have something for the pain I'm not having so my daughter & I never gave her the suppository! We talked about it for a few & my sister said whatever pain she feels is hunger & said she was very hungry & would I please get her something to eat. I tried & nobody would let me so i got mad & left. That was the last time i seen my sister & or spoke to her except yelling, "I LOVE YOU JANET" AS I WAS WALKING DOWN THE HALLWAY TO LEAVE & HEARD HER SAY, "I LOVE YOU TOO DEE DEE"! SHE GAVE ME MY NICK NAME DEE DEE BECAUSE SHE COULDNT SAY MY NAME. THE DAY OF HER DEATH JUST PRIOR TO, MY BOYFRIEND WAS DIGGING OUR YARD TO MAKE IT BIGGER & FOUND ONE OF HER JOURNALS FROM YEARS AGO & A FEW PAGES WAS ABOUT HOW SHE FEELS ABOUT ME & SEVERAL ABOUT HER SON. THAT EVENING EITHER B4 THE PHONE CALL OR MAYBE THE NEXT MORNING, MY BOYFRIEND FOUND ANOTHER JOURNAL, ONLY THIS ONE IS FULL OF LETTERS TO & FROM HER EX BOYFRIEND WHICH SHE LOVED VERY MUCH & WHICH HAPPENS TO BE THE BROTHER OF THIS WOMAN & I BELIEVE THE ANSWERS R IN THE LETTERS. I WILL LET YOU KNOW WHAT I FIND AS I READ THEM. THERE IS A REASON THEY WERE FOUND BECAUSE THE WHOLE THING IS JUST TOO MUCH OF A COINCIDENCE.

My gosh Dee Dee, what you have written sends chills down my spine! Would there have happened to be any doctors or nurses visiting your sister at home periodically? If so then they should have some sort of record of her condition leading up to her death. I'd also definitely pursue some form of an investigation sooner than later. So sorry for your loss. It brings tears to my eyes to at least know that they two of you had a chance to say "I LOVE YOU" to one-another before she passed. What a blessing that is, many people don't have that chance. Please stay strong and vigilant!

I am sincerly sorry for your loss DeeDee. I have a couple of questions with respect. Was your sister palliative care? What was the relationship (legally) this woman had with your sister? You can find out all medication values interactions and adverse reactions on the internet yourself. The medical profession use Mimms guide. If you suspect foul play I suggest you remain very evidence based. Steel yourself. Morphine use is reportable. there would be evidence of quanity use. Hate revenge are emotions there has to be more to it to take a life. Did this woman gain financially? Seek council for yourself. Take your suspicions and evidence to the authorities.even media. Toxocology can be shown in cremated remains. You can speak to your sisters medical officer. If you honestly and sincerely think your sister was murdered don't let go. Look after yourself. If your sister was in a weakened state any sudden extra increase in her dosage would have caused respiratory and cardiac failure. You are legally able to access certificate of death as a blood relative. Remember you are grieving

Hi again - why I asked about palliative ... legally was she deemed palliative? Were all the papers in order?. If so comfort care including foor water and body functions.if as you say your sister said she was hungry why was puree nutrient withheld? She was lucid enough to communicate hunger. The palliative order is comfort respect dignity in death no exceptional measures taken pain relief is included and repotable. If this friend was a carer for your sister withholding comfort nutrient when the patient is lucid enough to request " I am very hungry" may show intent. Neglegent care.just an avenue of thought also if If your sister had concerns about her carer why was she not transferred out of that persons care.

Hello Roy! How have you been? Wonderful I hope! I just wanted to say thank you for everything! I know its been several days since we have spoke so I thought I'd let you know I haven't been able to get anywhere with bringing charges against the woman responsible for my sisters death & at this point im really not sure how to go about doing so. I know what my sister told me about this woman but I am having trouble getting anyone else to cooperate with me. I did however speak to a couple sheriffs about it but they said it doesn't add up so before i decide to make the call, I need to have all my ducks in a row, which I already knew that part & the reason they say it doesnt add up is because I told them that my daughter is a registered medical assistant & registered phlebotomist but hadn't been here long enough to know what was really going on, like what my sister was suppose to b taking & or how often. Anyway, I still have no idea how long this is going to take. I only hope & pray to God that somehow someway I am able to prove what this woman did to my sister & that there will b justice done for my sister. Thank you!

Thank you for posting! To answer a couple of ur questions, the woman is the sister of my sisters x boyfriend & the woman has held a grudge against my sister for several yrs bcuz my sister & her brother got into some trouble many yrs back that ended them both in jail. My sister did about a yr & he did about 10 yrs & ended up with cancer so by time he got out of prison he was basically on his death bed & thi s woman swore that when the time came for my sister that she was going to b here to help he die & even the x wife of the brother told me this yrs a ago. Now r u sure they can do a toxicology on ashes?

Hi Dee Dee how are you today. Palliative orders for terminally ill clients are basically nfr.not for resuscitation. Medical orders that would allow the client to die with dignity pain free.either home or hospice.a unit where people go to die. This is not assisted dying. However, the person family member carer that issues the care including medication has a legal responsibility. Morphine is a licensed drug and would be quantity regulated. The doc issuing the morphine would should note the amount used.if an od had occurred the quantity should look suspicious. The same with as I stated prev with holding basic care to your sister.these could be factors that show intent. Was there a community nurse or the such like popping into the home? If so have a chat.

Morphine is opiod there is a possibility like arsenic compound if in agreat dose it may be traced.have to check on that for sure.
The other thing if any morphine was left over where is it now? Again it would have to be returned tp pharmacy for destruction. Again a count trail. As your sheriff (we dont have them here in Australia) said line up your ducks. Every little thing suspicious added together may assist. Its all in the homework. A statment from people, morphine count anything! I do know from experience death doesnt happen quickly the morphine is for comfort the ca is the killer. Added morphine will have od symptoms.they would have been noticed by someone.

Hi Georgie! How r u doing? Great I hope! U had mentioned, "from experience!" So I was wondering if u might possibly b able to explain the difference between symptoms of one dying from cancer & symptoms of one overdosing from morphine & possibly the combination of the 2? I have other questions & answers for UR questions as well but by time I click on reply, I've done forgotten & when I had a long reply ready to b sent, I scrolled up to proof read it & it vanished. Just so u know I am trying to respond to UR questions but w/great difficulties. Sometimes I just have trouble remembering what to do from one minute to the next so I seem to get stuck & I'm not sure how or what to do to snap myself out of it. I do know there r a few different factors as to y. I was concerned to read how distressed you are with everything that is happening. let alone the death of your sister. Some days it seems like there is a big black cloud upon us. I know when my mum passed the same day my Mazda stopped in the middle of nowhere. Just at my most busy time with funeral arrangements and family dynamics. What I guess I am trying to say is don't give up. You are grieving it seems like the world is upon you and you want answers. As I have mentioned in previous comms. There has to be a record of medication used dispensed and returned. This is law in all civilized countries. pharmacy check might assist. The "woman" looking after your sister has a responsibility and is answerable to the doctor or nursing authority. she has moved on and if she is a carer will have her next client. she would have an employer of some kind. concentrate on the positives, you have brought her identity to the sheriffs (police). You have the information but no proof per say, so continue gathering information. this "woman will make another mistake again and when the time comes your 'base information will assist in her coming to justice. She is not "rocket science" they make mistakes.

Meanwhile I suggest you look after yourself your physical and mental well being. "recharge" steady gentle ever watchful documenting. time to grieve time to find peace for the deceased and yourself. This is not giving up this is stepping back it is getting your ducks in a line as the sheriff said. I wonder if you could have another talk with him? You have good medical information from participants on this site. Its not going away in a hurray. You are not alone. Morphine overdose – How much is too much?

One of the common mistakes when it comes to morphine dosage is when solutions are administered, and milligrams and/or milliliters are confused. As with other drugs, prescribed doses of morphine should be respectively administered and doctor’s recommendations ALWAYS followed. Doses of morphine over 200 mg are considered to be lethal to average person, meaning an opioid-naive person. However, in cases with hypersensitivity, even 60 mg morphine doses can cause permanent impairment, coma, or even death. In case of drug dependence, long term use, or increased levels of high tolerance for opiates, up to 3 grams of morphine per day can be tolerated.

Morphine overdose complications

Morphine overdose is a condition of intoxication by a certain drug, a point at which neither the body nor the brain functions normally. Signs of overdose by morphine may appear to be regular effects of the drug, but can manifest into something more serious quite quickly. Furthermore, when abused and combined with alcohol, morphine’s effects are increased and intensified. Here is a list of the most common signs of overdose with morphine:

•clammy skin
•cold skin
•coma
•convulsions
•dilated pupils
•extreme somnolence (sleepiness)
•reduced blood pressure
•severe respiratory depression
•slow and shallow breathing
•stupor
•vomiting

REMEMBER DEE DEE YOUR SISTER WAS PALLIATIVE (DYING) THE RATIO WOULD BE LESS DUE TO HER FRAGILE STATE. THIS IS A SINGLE DOSE STAT.
